Hi all! I'm in need of an anime that'll make me cry or just mess with my emotions, preferably a romance anime. My favourite anime is Clannad + Clannad Afterstory - It really made me cry, and whenever I listen to a soundtrack from the anime, it almost makes me cry. I'm looking for an anime that'll make me feel the same way.
I've already watched:
Angel Beats (It was good, but nothing special)
Kanon 2006 (I really liked it, but didn't make me feel as emotional)
AnoHana (I loved it, I cried at the end, but I don't have the same kinda feels for it as I have with Clannad)
White Album 2 (It was amazing, and I think I did cry a little at the end)
Golden Time (I liked it, but didn't make me feel that emotional)

Please comment if you have any suggestions! :)

Though it won't exactly make you cry, watch Nana. The troubles the characters face is realistic and heartbreaking. I got depressed too. ;-;

Probably not the closest to what you want but Bokurano. It's a mecha but most of the people involved have faced troublesome events in their life and you feel for them.

That actually does sound like something I'd wanna watch - thanks!

Also, thanks to everyone else for the replies, most of them look really good!

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso - currently airing (2nd season to start january i believe). i wasn't expecting much from this, just judging by the synopsis. but once i started watching it last night i was hooked from the first episode and ended up watching all the first season in one sitting which i never do.

Both of these will probably make you cry out of joy or any other emotion besides sadness.

I hope you watch them and enjoy them as much as i did.

Kind Regards,

Other than the ones mentioned try:

Chrno Crusade - This one especially. It will catch you completely off guard.
Wolf's Rain
Rainbow
Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal - Classic.

Agree! Lol, although I was on the urge of tears a couple of times.

Other series that I've seen and think are good and emotional are; NHK ni Youkoso!, Usagi Drop and Donten ni Warau (that aired this season). Laughing Under the Clouds, yeah no more like Crying Under the Clouds, fuck.

But if you're looking for something to make you cry or something that is more emotional manga is the way to go. More mature content and stories.

AGREED! I was shook
"Before I slit your throat, I'll give you a kiss," Nezumi said softly. "You'll find out exactly how much better I am at giving farewell kisses."
