| I guess peer pressure does exist here but i agree with RinPriest's point. There is no brainwashing at least in my opinion here on mal simply because it is not possible to change a person's taste in anime just by random texts in forums across the internet imo. Peer pressure here on mal however is quite bad. I see several people assaulted by the fanboys for voicing their options on what they thought about a particular show. For example if someone thinks an episode is boring fanboys say all kinds of things ranging from "it is necessary for character development" to "you must be a naruto or SAO fan" what most of the fans fail to realize is that different people have different tastes that they must learn to respect and not everyone is as emotionally invested in a character like they are. However there will always be fanboys there is nothing you can do about it. Also the banishing from the website thing. Does that really happen? That is really hard to believe |
