| Final Fantasy VII was my first RPG, and it'll always by my favourite. It has one of the best battle system ever; one that's easy to use, fun and complex enough to please most with all the combinations. At the time I played it, it was truly mind-blowing to discover the size of the world after spending hours in Midgar, sure the entire game would take place there. Suikoden II has the best story of a RPG. Top draw characterization and some very moving moments. It's hard to top Riou and Jowy joining up to fight again under dramatic circumstances, or the fall of Luca Blight - one of the best villains ever, if not THE best. So, overall FFVII is my favourite, Grandia wins in terms of pure enjoyment and Suikoden is my #1 in terms of charcterization and story. |
