| Will this fool ever stop lying? On another note, I like that Sato is not squeaky clean, so at least the series itself definitely doesn't pretend. One thing that hasn't been explained though is how he's been able to sustain his lifestyle for almost four years. My guess is his parents probably funded him for a while. Misaki is a mystery, but she certainly knows how to ask questions. I wonder if she or someone in her family used to be a shut-in at some point. |

| Loved this episode - mostly because it's very hard to predict which direction the story will take. I like how no one is falling for the MC's flimsy lies, and even he is racked with guilt. "I'm not a hikikomori.. I'm a liar." kawesor said: I may be a little late to the party, but does anybody know the name of the novel satou is talking about near the beginning? The one where humankind is extinct and a single survivor is captured by aliens? Is it made up or an actual book? I don't know the exact novel - I am not even sure if it exists. In Slaughterhouse Five, the main character gets abducted by aliens and is kept in a sort of zoo, with his exhibit resembling a human home. They even get him a mate in order to observe his behaviour. The movie The Truman Show also has an interesting premise where the main character doesn't know that he's being observed in a fabricated world - difference is that the observers here are fellow humans. And of course, there's The Matrix, where robots have taken over the world and enslaved humankind by trapping them inside a simulation while using them as an energy source. If a human is very observant, though, things start to look off.. |

| I like Yamazaki xD he's cute C: lol I knew he was gonna say eroge game One con to watching too much anime is that oftentimes things can get predictable so you lose some surprise factors ^^' oh wells. Haha. Wonder what Misaki's backstory is... Satou doesn't seem to remember her, yet she says she knows about him and wants to help him recover from being a NEET :0 why? I'm surprised he's not entirely suspicious of her. Maybe cuz she's cute LOL. I'm not exactly compelled to watch this anime, but I'm hoping it's just a slow start. |

| Ehh... Still not very interested in this anime.. The Ost's in this episode felt really out of place, especially at the end when they were talking about the video-game .. just felt like random music is playing ill give it 1 more episode |

| Good episode, we see how flawed mc is with compulsive lying stemming from his state of denial. The ero-game punchline was great, his neighbour/kouhai has an annoying attitude imo but I guess most of these characters are gonna be pretty flawed. 4/5 EDIT: NotWorthDirt said: Yamazaki seriously reminds me of Shinpachi from Gintama. | The otaku next door turns out to be Sato's kohai. An otaku but with a short temper. He would be as miserable as Sato, but he's attending a gaming school so at least he got that going for him. It's understandable how he would be mad, seeking his senpai being so miserable like that and even lying to 'impress' a girl. Though I would be quite annoyed to constantly be pitied by a girl 4 years younger than me. Damn, I felt it, seeing 2 NEETs hanging out, drinking their sorrow together and reminiscing on the good ol' days... (T^T) |

| Haha, to be honest it was to be expected, dunno why though, that Yamazaki will want an erotic game to be made. Maybe because of a lot off Bengali stuff he had, or because simple erotic games are rather easy to be created by newbies in programming. Or maybe both, lol. |
| Loving this show and the neuroses of the main character. Some of the stuff he does when he gets anxious hits a little too close to home at times. Surprised to meet his neighbor but makes sense in the context of the plot. I thought the game pitch at the end would be a visual novel, but seems like they took it up a notch. |

| Main character is truly hopeless ... his otaku neighbour and friend on the other hand seems surprisingly smart and organised , I expected him to be more like Ishigami or typical otaku wasting his life , but he seems more like Todd Howard kinda guy from chess club who wants to create games as a full-time job. |
