Hi My issue is that Highschool DxD OVA keeps reappearing in my 'Currently watching' list. Everytime I have to edit the status back to 'Comleted' but it just seems to come back whenever it wants to. I've tried to reproduce it, but closing and opening Taiga didn't do it. Of course this also changes it on my actual anime list to 'Currently watching', so I've tried changing it there as well but that didn't fix it either. https://i.imgur.com/wU6R2uK.png Thanks |

@cyruz Taiga doesn't know about all the anime titles in MAL's database initially. It just keeps a local database that consists of your list, previously seen season data, and search results. So that's why it picked it up only after you searched for it. @fsdas Hi there. That's actually something unrelated to Taiga. High School DxD OVA is still airing, and MAL doesn't allow its users to set airing series as completed. If you do, MAL will automatically move them back (I think it runs a check every 24 hours or so). Check out the club comments, we've had a brief discussion about this a couple of days ago. |

I suppose it would be unreasonable to expect Taiga to have a list of all the entries in the db. Thanks for clearing that up for me. |

Taiga doesn't fully delete bad/duplicate entries from it's DB. For example, 2 entries for Selector Infected WIXOSS Specials were made, not knowing which one would remain and not wanting to bother to look for it afterwards I just added both, one was deleted and it was gonne from my list, fine, now I got a torrent notification for one of the episode of the entry that got deleted (note that I already watched this episode and marked it on the entry that was left) and clicking the "?" image on the entry (by right-click the torrent and going to the anime info) takes me to a deleted MAL page, obviously searching for it using the search function also only shows the one that I have in my list already and not the deleted one. I've added and deleted the "deleted" entry but nothing changed. The entry on the torrent tab also shows "Selector Infected Wixoss specials." with a dot, when the entry that remained after one of them got deleted didn't have one. Also, the ID for the one that got deleted is 27615 and 27613 for the one that was left. And playing the file makes Taiga think it's playing "Selector Infected Wixoss specials." (the deleted one) instead of the one left in my list. |

What it's doing now is it's showing up as the other anime in the "Now Playing" screen. I tried doing that, but it still seems like the same as before. Quoting myself from a previous post: erengy said: the default URLs for NyaaTorrents include a "&filter=2" parameter that limits the results by "Trusted only". You can simply remove that parameter and then DeadFish's releases will be displayed as well. |

Taiga doesn't seem to be working in Chrome anymore. Chrome version 38.0.2125.104 m (updated on October 17th) Taiga version 1.1.8 I tested it in normal mode and in incognito mode with all extensions disabled. Normally, even just going to Crunchyroll or Youtube would make a Taiga system tray bubble appear, but nothing of the sort is happening anymore. Looks like it's still working just fine in Firefox. |

(the deleted one) instead of the one left in my list. This is kinda of a mess but to simplify with a better example: "Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV) - Episode 0" can be found in the Fall's season chart (maybe not for everyone but, for me at least, it does since I added it before) under TV shows, but that entry doesn't exist anymore and trying to go to it's web page you get nothing. Basically, Taiga keeps every entry in it's DB even if that entry has been deleted from MAL and you happened to add it before it got deleted, my suggestion here would be so the user themselves can remove entries from the local DB without having to mess with the files themselves, if they delete something that wasn't deleted on MAL all they have to do is sync their list again and the entry should be back (if I understand how Taiga works). While this wouldn't be flawless since ghost entries in your "completed" or "plan to watch" lists would remain at least it'd be a good start, mainly because most of the shows that are deleted are usually in your "plan to watch" and when the season in which that show was supposed to air is released you'd be able to delete the entry from the DB then. |

erengy said: I'm not sure if that's something I should fix. Normally when you decrease the number of episodes, that means you went back and rewatched that episode, which should count in your weekly stats. Are there any other cases I'm missing? That makes sense I guess; I just make mistakes sometimes when I've watched something on my tablet and have to update manually, so I just used it to correct that. Also, completely unrelated, but I found some mildly interesting behavior. Sanzoku no Musume Ronja's first two episodes were released as a bundle (file name is [Anime-Koi] Sanzoku no Musume Ronja - 01-02 [h264-720p][5CB8DF6E]), and Taiga detects this just fine. The 'Now Playing' page says episode 1 is playing, but the notification from the tray icon says I'm watching episode 2. It also updates to 2 after the episode is done. Assuming you have accounted for this, pretty nice work! Or if it just happened to work out, that's cool too, I guess. Just figured I'd let you know, not that it's even slightly important. |

Uh... about this. Looking into it a bit it's mainly spam of [Error] http.cpp:354 taiga::HttpManager::FreeConnection | Connections for hostname was already zero: cdn.myanimelist.net I haven't managed to open all of it but from what I got it all started around the first of last month, lots of messages at the exact same time and it has happened in a few other days afterwards too. |

@Ooglogput: Yep, that's intentional. The discrepancy between the numbers displayed on Now Playing page and the notification is not, though. I should fix that. @Paulo27: The issue with deleted entries is quite complicated, but I intend to look into it soon after the next update. As for the error spam, I recall having the same issue in an early v1.1 release, but thought it got fixed later on. Not sure how large it's going to be after compression, but could you send me the log file via private message, if you haven't deleted it yet? |

I tried it again now and it seems fine, not really sure what is causing it myself, this never happened before and now it happened when I switched accounts for the first time, so I figured that was the cause but now I can't reproduce it. Should probably ignore it for now and wait to see if it happens again and I'll try to pay attention to when or how it happens. |

HumboShot said: Why is there such a big different between life spent watching in Taiga and days on MALs site? https://i.imgur.com/NMBMPhy.png erengy said: MAL and MALgraph's statistics should be more accurate. MAL API doesn't provide the episode length of a series, so all Taiga can do is to estimate. It's usually pretty accurate, but it falls apart when you have a lot of anime with non-standard episode lengths. |

Two things: 1. Why can't Taiga look up directories only when needed? Log contains tons of "folder not found" errors because it is on an external hard drive that I don't have plugged in all the time. 2. I *think* it is because of Taiga but not 100% sure. It seems that when I set a series as Completed from the Search menu it doesn't sync properly. Usually after I watch a short film if I forgot to set it as Plan to Watch and want to add it right away I search it, right-click, set as Completed, then go to my Completed list and edit details. But then sometimes when I refresh the list manually these entries are updated to Plan to Watch (with all the other info remaining like rating, dates...). |

@Jacquelin: 1. I made a couple of changes in v1.1.9 regarding these errors. 2. I haven't been able to reproduce this so far. Could it be that the anime in question were listed on MAL as still airing? @crucius: Taiga currently posts a tweet only as you watch an episode, which is why it's not possible to make it tweet when you drop an anime. This is a commonly requested feature though, so I'm planning to improve this in future releases. A couple of other things: - You probably want to use %title% rather than %name%. %name% is for the episode name, while %title% is for the anime title. - Dropped is 4, not 3. |

How about making it so Taiga changes folders when it can't find an episode in the folder it pick for an anime? I believe I reported this before but whatever, basically imagine I download the OST for a certain show, Taiga will see the name of the folder and think that's where the episodes are and it'll take that folder but when I try to play it from Taiga, unless I scan for episodes every once in a while, Taiga will forget the episodes are somewhere else and keep looking in the OST folder until I manually change it to the correct folder. Basically make it so, if there's nothing in the current folder, change it to whatever folder has the episodes the next time I scan globally for episodes. |

That's not the expected behavior in some cases. Suppose that I have an actual anime folder, but I downloaded the latest episode to another, temporary place. When I want to watch something, I'd expect Taiga to check the anime folder first, then fall back to others, without modifying my anime folder setting. One thing that could be done is to look at the big picture and say, "this folder doesn't have any episodes in it, but this other one has five, so I should change the anime folder setting to the latter". This is not possible at the current state of things, but is eventually going to happen. |

Problem is Taiga won't go out of it's way to look for the episodes unless I scan for them myself, it's like it forgets the episodes were somewhere else and goes back to the empty folder to search for them, I imagine that isn't intended behavior. Either way, glad to hear you're working on it. |

I have a problem with taiga and xbmc. I think it appeared since the last update, but I noticed it only today. When xbmc is running, taiga is freezed, and doesn't recognize anything. When I close Xbmc, it turns back to a normal state. When I try with mpc-hc, taiga works normally. I tried with a fresh install of taiga, without any previous settings (only my MAL account and selecting xbmc as player) but it didn't change anything. I received a similar complaint before, but haven't been able to reproduce the issue myself, unfortunately. Could you give some additional information about your XBMC setup? Do you use any add-ons? Is there anything out of ordinary with your video sources? Did you change anything since the last time it worked? |

I think I found the culprit. It's the Watchdog addon, I forgot that it was the last thing I installed. Disabling that (or changing an option) taiga works as usual. Usually I don't touch anything in my xbmc setup, so I excluded xbmc from the possibilities... (my fault) Watchdog has an option about the watching method (I suppose) for local folders, auto or polling. default is auto, and taiga freezes. with polling taiga works. I will try with polling, or remove totally watchdog, it's not very important... btw, my video sources are nothing out of ordinary, at least where we talk about anime fansubbed. .mkv files, almost all of them in h.264 10bit 720p |

When watching Steins;Gate Taiga thinks I'm watching the movie or the specials (seems random which it picks) rather than the TV series, nothing strange in the name file, I even deleted the folder field in the settings for the movie and specials and gave the right folder to the TV series and started the episode through the TV series entry but it still picks up the others. I guess a way to fix this would be so, when you start an episode through an entry by right-clicking and selecting play next episode, Taiga doesn't run of to another entry and marks the entry that you used to start the episode as the one you're watching. Actually, just noticed the problem, those other entries had Steins;Gate as secondary titles for some reason, my suggestion still stands though, if possible. |

Just got 5 "there is no disc in the drive, insert a disc in the drive" messages from Taiga in the lock page when I came back. edit 2: I thought it was because I set to watch a folder on E: where my external hard drive was set to, then I added a BD drive and that got bound to E:. BUT it happened again after removing it from my library and restarting Taiga. Please fix it, very obnoxious and occurs 'randomly' while it's idle. |

Taiga seems to be messing up the End Dates whenever there isn't a Start Date present (or perhaps it's when there isn't a day present and just the month and year.) Which basically means everything I added to my list before I started using Taiga, and whenever I bring those up in Taiga, the End Date isn't the one I set but has changed to the Release Date of the anime. I didn't notice until MALgraph's history thing said I had completed Akira in 1988, an entire decade before I even started watching anime. :P Hopefully this is something you can fix. |
