| #1 Character: Rin Anime/Manga: Togainu no Chi Current Month: October 2012 Motivation: Heh, 5 years can make even a shota into a man. I always knew I'd like Rin most, I guess I'm a sucker for cheerful blonde characters. Plus he's Jun Fukuyama~ And he doesn't sound like normal JunFuku charas these days either, but seriously he's pretty bad at those scenes lol. Back to Rin, he's cute and adorable, easily likable when we got a cast of troubled young men. Then his angst and anger problems came in... well I think I still like Rin most and it didn't turn out that bad in the end and when looking back. Plus in extras and merchandise, he's never like that so, it's all right to keep the cheerful young shota forever happy in my heart right? Well actually I can't really say shota anymore but meh. So basically I like him most and he's so lovable when he's energetic and happy! His ending of cutting everything away was rather nicely done too. Banner: No thanks, I'll make~ #2 Character: Keisuke Anime/Manga: Togainu no Chi Current Month: October 2012 Motivation: Hmm I like Keisuke enough, he can get irritating but he does man up eventually. Him and Akira are cute too. I feel pretty bad for the guy on any of the other routes =/ sucks to be him. Yeah so I guess I don't mind this guy because in any of the extra stuff, he's a cutie that likes Akira, so life is good and kickin'. OH and the drama CD made it much easier to sympathize with him, so at the end of the day, I guess I do like this clumsy goof because he's got his heart in the right place. Banner: No thanks, I'll make~ #3 Character: Motomi Anime/Manga: Togainu no Chi Current Month: October 2012 Motivation: Ossan again! I do like Motomi, his route doesn't have all the angst and sexual tension of the younger cast. Even if he's old, he was refreshing. It's a bit of a nice break to have a casual relaxed character when everyone else loses their rationality... or maybe I just like ossan characters? It's a bit weird when you think that their partner is much younger than them... oh well, Motomi and Bardo plotting together in extra's is just the best, ossan power forever! Banner: No thanks, I'll make~ #4 Character: Shiki Anime/Manga: Togainu no Chi Current Month: October 2012 Motivation: I was 96% sure I wasn't going to like Shiki, he looked like an seme with everything I hated going on with him. But instead, I just feel so bad for this guy. The terrible writing of his route and ALL THREE endings leave me in despair! Even if he's the most popular seme of every N+C series, he feels so wronged in every possible way to me. Then I listened to his drama CD and I actually feel a lot better about his true end and his character development in general. So now I have a soft spot for this guy. Plus he's hilarious in all the extras, they make him so stupid with his arrogance and possessiveness. Hikaru Midorikawa NAILED this role, seriously impressed by his performance. I have no clue, though, why everyone loves Shiki while everyone HATES Mink, they do practically the same thing to their uke! Banner: No thanks, I'll make~ #5 [Staff Bonus] Character: Nano Anime/Manga: Togainu no Chi Current Month: October 2012 Motivation: Nano is probably secretly my favorite character from the series. He irritated me so much with his long-winded riddles that got completely lost in translation -A-; and then he talked sssuuuuuuuuuppppeerrr slooooooow. Probably would have appreciated those parts more if I wasn't so dependent on a translator. All that aside, Nano's plays an interesting role in the story and as bad as it was, the anime didn't do that bad in playing him out as the ever-present but also almost non-existent character he is. By the end, we actually do get it all, the long winded mumblings about fate and colors and about Line and all the other times he decided to pop out of nowhere. And then the emptiness begins to move on, the colors dyed with nothing but darkness and blood finds something new, washed away by the rain. I love his last cgs, his developments and his ending, which is so freakin' cute. Banner: No thanks, I'll make~ #6 [Staff Bonus] Character: Akira Anime/Manga: Togainu no Chi Current Month: October 2012 Motivation: Whooo, I can say now with confidence, Akira, you're my least favorite N+C main character! But it's ok, I will always have lovely Aoba! I'm sort of kidding, Akira really isn't that bad of a character and it makes sense with the setting and his background that he doesn't really have the greatest character in the whole world. I like him most after he realizes how important Keisuke is to him, that's when he finally gets some decent characterization. I think I somehow praised Aoba more than Akira in all of this... so let's see Akira's a good guy deep down, he cares for others and can actually cry for them, so yeah I guess I do appreciate his character at the end of the day! -A- except for the two stupid stupid stupid Shiki ends, ugh.
