Therefore I want to indulge my very selfish wish to make a masterlist of the reversi characters out there. And who knows maybe someone else here likes reversible characters as much as I do. Some of the reversi are reversi couples who swop the up and down roles from time to time, but the list also includes characters who are uke to one guy and seme to another. Ono Yusuke, lord of the cupcakes in Antique Bakery and infamous "gay with demonic charm". He's reversible. He says he can be top and bottom right in one of the first chapters of volume one and we see him as an obvious seme with the cute guy from the gay bar and later as a probable uke with the french baker and the guy with the mustache. But Antique Bakery is hardly hitting the boundaries of bl, we don't really get to see any visible proof of his reversibility there. His reversibility however is confirmed in the set of Original author Doujinshi that accompany Antique Bakery. |

Shouji was a seme-only before Terumi, but I seem to remember that they both do it both ways apparently randomly. The mangaka of these two stories Sadahiro Mika is the most likely to write what you are looking for. I want to check Neji no kaiten again, but I seem to remember that they swop according to the mood as well. |
| Neji no Kaiten by Sadahiro Mika. I double checked and Ryu is uke to Toshiya (the father, teacher). With Toshiya's son Hayato he has a true reversi relationship, he seems to take the seme position more often, but they swop frequently if they are in the mood for it then Hayato gets the top.  |

| Kain from A Sex Therapist shinkeikaku pointed me towards this one - so thanks a lot, the manga was fun. It is about Kain who runs a bar with sex therapy and helps his customers find out about their own feelings. For this he can either be uke or seme. I would have liked some romance for Kain as well, not only for everyone else. He looks a bit feminine on the picture, but that is only one of his faces.  |

| Another reversible character is Utsumi Ryu from Hydra. He is shown in his younger days in Osaka as an uke to Stephan in the manga Say Please, and then we see him years later as an seme in Hydra. I'm a bit obsessed with Ryu, his stoic, quiet ways with an underlying promise of wildness is really attractive. Besides ... he has a hot tattoo. ;-)  |

| Another reversi - or even a couple - can be found in Prince Charming by Tokaido Akemi. Yuasa is a self admitted reversi with no special favouring for top or bottom position. Normally he tops his uke Asahina-sensei, but you also get to see them swap positions.  |

| Cool. :) The scene itself is kinda natural/organic or something when it happens, so I just wouldn't want to read that it happened beforehand. I actually refrained from suggesting it here earlier to not spoil someone's fun. ^_^;; It's just such a plot point for that work, instead of just sex like some others. And yes, find the Antique Bakery dj! There's 14 of them! They are SO GOOD. There's even some translated, but not ones concerning Ono's developing relationship really. :( There's a hilarious attempt at reversing in there actually. :D |

| There's another reversi character in the first chapter of the one-shot collection Virgin Break. It's a story about two seme being attracted to each other ... so one at least one of them had to reverse for the whole thing to work out...  |

I guess Wada from Sono kuchibiru ni yoru no tsuyu might be called a reversible character. Calling Wakae from the same manga a reversi might be stretching it too far. At least ... I don't think he is willingly so. |

When you read Flowers you get early on that Makoto, the gorgous long haired hottie in the picture below is a reversi - with different people (seme to Nanno, seme to Ryou, uke to another guy). When you carry on to the dj-follow-up Flower Children you will see that even Nanno from the same story is a reversi character.  |

| Inami Kazunori from the 3 chapter shounen ai story Fujunna Renai Ok, this one is almost cheating. I mean wth does a shounen ai do on this list? But that's the thing exactly. If it had been not a shounen ai but a yaoi then Inami Kazunori would be a reversi. First he is in love with cute, wee Maruyama and would be obviously the seme and later with Udagawa Akihiro, with him Kazunori would probably end up as bottom. Indulge me and let me add him here.  |
