| Phenomenal show.... just brilliant in so many ways! Everything here's pretty much been said but, I have to say... ARATA'S SMEXY VOICE is hnnnnngggghh.... and Taichi's moves... rawr. Just so many stellar, beautiful & gentle moments! 9/10. Deserves it 100%. Season 2.... please?!!?!?!?!?!? |

| That was a very fun ride! I reallly liked the show, I even liked how they managed the ending (considering the manga is still ongoing) although my 8/10 rating of it could be higher if it didn't make me feel we desperately need a second season to proper finish this story. It was a great surprise (I'm sure until now there's plenty people that haven't watched this show yet because they don't believe that "card game" premise could developed so well). Oh, btw, the way Arata and Taichi were talking like bros on the phone was cool, motivating Taichi even to go Sudo-sadist on Chihaya! Funny, but yeah, with Kana saying her dream to be a reader, look at that, they did not even tried to hide we're halfway the story with this many sequel hooks, I didn't notice if a season 2 was announced yet but with a finale like that it almost seems it was! And I hope it will! xP |
| Vey cool anime to me and it introduced me to a game I've never seen before and I found it pretty interesting. Sort of like a Hikaru no Go kind of feeling. Chihaya and the rest of the crew were detailed pretty well and you got to know everyone through those intense Karuta games/practices. The OP and ED I enjoyed for the series. This show was def one of my favorites this season. |
| I really do hope they make a 2nd season! I found this series to be a refreshing change from what I normally watch. I really really really want to see more of Taichi x Chihaya. I got all excited when they went up in Taichi's room alone, oh well.. Hoping for more. Overall, I gave this season a 8/10. |

| It was cool to see the teacher backup the Karuta club considering she was so against it within the first few episodes. :p It was also cool how they used the scene from the first episode to end the series. I guess the whole series was just a flashback after all... lol... :D Overall, awesome series, I really enjoyed it! I didn't think I would get into it but Karuta was more interesting than I thought. Really hoping for a second season considering they left it open for another one. (basically hinting it) xD |

| i need 2nd season soooooooooooooo much!!! OH MY GOD one of the best josei anime ever!!! All the character are so unique and interesting especially my lovely QUEEN Shinobu!! Awww <333 I want to see what happens next... I wonder why this anime is soooooooooo unpopular in japan.. is it really because this was shown late night, so the only people who can watch this is an otaku, and i heard that otaku in japan can't appreciate good show with smart and engaging plot with no fanservice in it, so it isn't popular there... :( :( :( i have a feeling that this show will be like Fruits Basket, a really good Shoujo/Josei anime, that everyone sure will get a 2nd season but it never happened.... :( |
| It some ways he as an abrupt ending. In other ways it seemed alright. I liked how it started where it ended. It still seems incomplete, though, so I hope they make another season. |

| man this anime disappointed me. none of my fave characters won, no budding romance consummated, and no closure. unless this is just posturing for a season 2. even still tho i expect more from a finale. |

| I really liked this series, I gave it a 10/10. It had so many heartwarming moments in it. Didn't really feel Arata as a main character but everyone else was really good. I kinda wished they had won more games towards the end. But oh well, I enjoyed the journey ^^. |

| Just had to post this. When I last checked a while back, the anime was #300 something and I thought it was totally underrated. Just checked again. #82!!! Just gotta love Chihayafuru!! |

| An incomplete series with an anticlimactic ending. It's lovely; it's eye candy; it's ear candy; but still, it's nothing! No resolutions to our lovely triangle, no resolutions to their karuta careers, only a gang of half-beatup fighters still chasing their dreams. If there isn't a second season, I'll be sorely disappointed. |

| Really good series, even though I was quiet skeptical about it, I really enjoyed it. I hope there'll be a second (or even third.. hehe) season someday, I'll definitely catch up with the manga. It still felt more shoujo-ish then josei tbh (mostly because of the semi-love triangle and the way the characters look like), but in the end it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. My only little complain would be the way all of the members were recruited (it was a bit too predictable, as far as I can still recall) and Arata's voice sounded a bit off to me (too old and "rough"). The music also shouldn't be forgotten, it got a bit repetitive near the end but it was really great and such a pleasure to listen to :-) |

| Yeah,Chiahayafuru is really a fresh and impressive show :) nice ending, impressive story, fresh OP Ost, cool ED Ost Enjoy this shoujo much(even im not-a-shoujo-fans), so i would say 9/10 is acceptable score for chihayafuru :D I really hope for Season 2, can't wait to watch it xD |

| It is among the best anime I've ever watched in my entire life. Completely breathtaking, every episode just pulls you in, the story and the plot is written really well. Although I really wished that they could've shown more of Arata but in the manga he is only starting to make a much more reoccurring appearance and a bigger impact to the story. Can't wait for the second season. I hope the dvds/blurays of the second season will sell well so that we will be able to see more of Chihayafuru in the future. |

| This anime exceeded all my expectations. I initially scoffed at the idea of an anime based on something as obscure as karuta but damn, did chihayafuru prove me wrong (and I'm glad it did). A solid 9/10 for me. |

| Hmm except for this one the last few episodes weren't as good as the earlier ones if you ask me, still enjoyed the anime a lot though :) I'm looking forward how Chihaya will train her hearing and how things will go now they're all fired up, I am however, not looking forward to the new members who will be joing next season. I'm afraid they'll screw up the good balance the club has and with 5 more members there's bound to be at least one (if not more) that'll be annoying and mess things up at some point... besides, forming bonds with new people will also take time = more needless drama and less focus on Taichi-Chihaya-Arata? Why can't they stay the same, 5 people in the karuta club is enough for me... :) |
| Overall, it was a nice season finale. I can't wait for the next season to air next week. I'd to see how all the new members are going to come into play, even though 5 members for the karutabu was easily enough imo. |

| Wow. I think that's probably one of the fastest times I've gotten through a 24+ full-length episode show in a long time. For good reason, too. I think Chihayafuru is honestly one of the best shows I've ever seen. The execution is great, the art is amazing, the voice actors are all fantastic. The action is well-paced, the comedy well-placed, and the writing of the series is phenomenal. Definitely in my top ten of shows, all-time. I crammed this in to my watching schedule so I could watch second season. Honestly, I assumed I'd catch up around episode five or six, but no. Less than two weeks. It says bounds about a show if it can be watched so attentively. Great show, 10/10, can't wait to start that second season. |

| amazing series!!! really enjoyed the season ^^ lol everyone thinks Suo lacks common sense XD a foreshadow of what's to come between Arata and Suo!?!?! :D lol Arata seems to be enthusiastic hearing Taichi :P Desk soo smart being able to pin point Ayase's strong traits as well as help her achieve it!!! a few chosen people have this kind of ability :P Chihaya learning and acting those poems! lovely!! Taichi is gonna burn all those Daddy Bears of Chihaya >____< Kana chan practicing as hell to become Kyoko!! Miyauchi protecting the Karuta club!! the group needs 5 more members for the club! really love the season, definitely became one of my favorite anime's of ALL time. the music, atmosphere everything is perfect. im only disappointed that we only get to have Arata scenes late in the game(we didn't see him much really other than practice and so), plus the progression of love between Chihaya and Taichi is there, but it only appeared near the end of the season and it's still not enough. hopefully they'll do a much better job on addressing these issues on season 2. all in all gonna now watch Season 2!!!! see you there Karuta players!!! |

| The end of the first season is here! With a great final episode with new things right in sight, the second season must be full of new contest and adventures on their own! I loved this first season not by story development alone, the amount of action combined with the great characters and art really made it amazing! This sure was a great marathon of this first season, so lets see what tomorrow brings in the second season! |
