Hey all,

I'm getting into Anime and would like some recommendations, if you can. I start with what genres I like, and then what I've seen.

Genres:

Horror
Sci-fi
Supernatural
Action-Adventure
Fantasy
Comedy

What I've watched thus far:

Darker Than Black
Death Note
Spirited Away
My Neighbor Totoro
Akira
Vampire Hunter D
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Corpse Princess
Another
Ghost in the Shell

I'm starting to watch Dragon Ball and then on to Dragon Ball Z

Based on my genres and previously viewed series, can you recommend anything that I may be interested in.

Thanks in Advance

Cowboy Bebop is pretty much the pinnacle of anime, and you would most likely like it a lot

Horror - Higurashi when they cry, Monster, another, and shiki.
Action - fate/stay night and fate/zero, Gurren lagaan, berserk, Future Diary and black lagoon.
Depressing/romance Anohana, and clannad

Some of the best anime are Code geass, Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood and Steins Gate and Yu Yu hakush. All 4 of these are masterpieces.

Thanks to all that posted! I've spent the last hour or so adding a lot of the titles to my plan to watch list. I now have 85 titles to look forward to watching.

One other question. Where can I get my hands on Code Geass. I ordered it twice from Amazon, and both times the discs were scratched. Both Season 1 and R2. Which is very odd, I know, but... I would rather not order from that company again, since I am 0-2. I usually try to buy, rather than to stream, but I'll do whatever I can.

Again, thanks to everyone that posted. I really appreciate the help!

Shingeki No Kyojin (Atack On The Titan) - do not expect too much from it or you will not enjoy it at the fullest like I did.

Steins;Gate - one of the recent masterpieces, but needs time to get going like mad.

Psycho Pass - Quite interesting story, but doesn't keep me interested. It is a good show to watch once in a week. For me at least.

Chrome Shelled Regios - Sci-fi, action adventure. Loved Felli Loss character in that anime, although art style was not that good.

Angel Beats - one of the feels anime, has the best sad and happy ending.

Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka? - an amazing action comedy with some romance in it.

Log Horizon - stuck in a MMORPG done right.

Sword Art Online - romtion (romance/action in first two arcs dominates everything, but romance is like 3 to 1 ratio) Second season looks more action based so far.

No game no life - mastermind of games. It was entertaining, but can be look a bit off (ecchi moments with a loli...)

Date A Live - conquer the girl + action. (Kami Nomi Zo Shiru Sekai is really similar to it, but doesn't have a lot of action in it)

Elfen Lied - gore, gore, gore. BLOOOD!

Mirai Nikki - Gasai Yuno, everything that needs to be said about it. MC sucks though big time... What a wimp he is.

Great Teacher Onizuka - Slice of life/comedy. I had a great time watching this one, but the ending was rushed a bit.

Also try something from big ones: One Piece, Naruto, Gintama, Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball (which you are watching right now), Detective Conan.
