Well sometimes I can get emotional but the show either has to be really good or I'm really immersed in the series.

Sucks.. I've cried to FMA:B because Edwards little speech at the end about having a Full Metal Heart.. Then that ending theme as well.. Sigh I'll miss that anime with a passion.

I've never cried while watching an anime, actually, the only time I've shed real tears while watching/reading any media, was in Treasure Planet, in the flashback when Jim's dad leaves. :'(

Back on topic, I have gotten emotional almost to the point of tears while watching anime on a few occasions.

Several times during FMA:B, obviously the end of Cowboy Bebop, and admittedly one scene in The Garden of Words. These are naming some off the top of my head.

Definitely. There's no difference between getting emotional while watching anime, and getting emotional while watching Hollywood films.

There's hype, tears, chest pains, and sometimes pseudo-depression.

I laugh sometimes when characters die. That's about all the emotion I show.

I did cry a little at the end of Shinsekai Yori, but I was drunk so I was a bit emotionally unstable.

Just like your Pikachu signature?

OT: Latest anime to make me have any feels was White Album 2 and maybe Golden Time, though the former was definitely much more heart breaking.

Sometimes, just sometimes, they pull at my manly heart strings. Totally not emphasizing that at all.

I could, on rare occasions, tear up a bit, but I usually just tend to feel a bit depressed whenever something heart breaking occurs.

Okay, I'll admit that I empathize with a lotta things, but tearing up a bit is probably the most I've ever done.

Sometimes. Even at those times I never seem to veer towards extremes of emotions. I get sad if a character dies and I may even cry but I never get depressed for more than the length of the anime, if that. I smirk and snicker and sometimes even double over laughing. I think the strongest response I've had to an anime emotionally is the need to have a antagonist get his comeuppance so bad I am literally crossing my fingers for an awesome deus ex machina, even if makes no sense (SAO Arc 2).

You know what, Anime is a serious issue to me.

It's just that it totally blews me away & over react whatever I want even though when it's interesting stuff happens. Others were just calm like shit.

Never really cried over an anime, i've made a few sad faces like 'Aw, well that was sad.' Not even cried from laughter. But i have chuckled here and there from animes, also cringed at a few animes.

If I get a bit misty-eyed when watching something, I know that it's a keeper. Except Grave of the Fireflies. I'll never be able to watch that again.

I'm overly attached to some characters and animes, hell I cry harder when random anime characters die or an anime end then I did when my grandmother died. Sad but true. I invest way too much emotion to anime but Idk, it just happens.

A lot of people talk about crying, no, never cried but the question is 'Do you get emotional'.

Crying is one of many emotional responses in the entire spectrum that is human emotion; therefore, it is not necessarily excluded in the definitions of the word "emotional". :)

What counts as "getting emotional" while watching Anime includes, but is not limited to, the following:

- happiness (e.g. something that you want to happen in the Anime finally happens! Like a love scene or a revenge scene, etc.)
- anger (e.g. your favorite character is betrayed, murdered, or raped by another character)
- rage (e.g. something happens that make you pull out a gun and shoot at your computer screen***)
- and so forth...

***Fortunately, I've only seen this happen in a TV show. The Simpsons, anyone? =P
***And I'm talking about a REAL gun, not your- ...nevermind.

Anyways, I personally would be interested in reading about people's other emotional responses besides the tears of sorrow variety (tears of joy are okay). :)

I always get emotional when watching animes because I feel with the characters and empathize with them and the story.

Depends on how much I like the characters. I don't cry super easily but if I liked the series a lot there's a possibility of me tearing up if something happens.

I'll definitely agree on this.

Because this is my exact same thought when it comes to Emotional. But I hated it when it turn out to be a troll & argument & said to me 'why do you posting so many CAPS on your post? Geez, calm down dude'.

So what? I don't care anymore IF I wanna over react things. Like how I react in High School of the dead.

Yeah, that.

Do I get emotional while watching anime? Well I can say this. It hits me in the feels Q_Q.
Life is basically like a soap bubble.
It rides on the wind, flying here and there,
…And before you realize it, pop! It’s gone.
When it’s about to disappear, you think
that you could’ve flown a bit higher.
But by the time, it’s already too late.

For me again,

I DO get over-emotional sometimes. Depends of what anime (Of course cuz they said so). Like the recent episode of Aldnoah Zero.

Yeah, that.

I'm sometimes very sensitive, if something sad happens in an anime, I cry. And when I finished FMA, I was really depressed and I wasn't so happy with the ending.

So yes, I can get very emotional during an anime.
