This is really a cautionary fable about why you should always have a lawyer present when being questioned by the police. Though with some decent lawyering, you'd think Seiichiro Fukiya could probably still beat the charges.

Not as good as the last episode. Fukiya is less engaging as an antagonist, and he's short enough on cash to commit a murder but able to wait a year to collect on it? And his scheme was really dependent on the police not being able to either trace the notes or account for how much the old lady had stashed way, either of which would've given him away.

Also, really odd choice to shift to a first-person, fourth-wall-breaking omniscient narrator, in contract to the conventional narration of the preceding episode.
