I recommed Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei for Anime of the Week. |

@Dumuzi: Nineteen 19 is added, thanks! It looks quite stylish.@fm37c: Yeah, the club (and its anime relations) were made waaaay before Tatami Galaxy turned into my almost-favorite anime. I am really bad with keeping the list up to date. |

The banners sample art from Yojouhan yet it's not in the anime relations? For shame. |

Hello there :)Nineteen 19 isn't in your list ? I recommend it, as I consider it an artsy anime centered around Victor Musical's productions... Story in it is rather secondary. |

College does that to me :( that and student parties. |

Welcome :) Typically I don't show up in MAL very often (and actually have stopped watching anime for close to 6 months), but I'm always happy to talk whenever I am here. |

Oh my, sorry. I'm not exactly the most active person on MAL, but I will keep the idea in mind. Also, feel free to make club cards or banners, and I'll add them. |

Naruleach | Jul 21, 2009 3:17 PM

Hello! Your list of what is considered artsy, is my kind of anime. i enjoy the mainstream as well, but my heart lies with the ones that are "hidden gems" like Kaiba, Mind Game, etc. I may have some to add to your list but I will ask first. Glad to join! |

By the way, I think I am going to include literally ever Ganime into the list, as soon as they get a MAL page. So feel free to link me if I have overlooked any. Thanks! :) |

Tori No Uta was a very good piece of art. One of the finest artistic Japanese animations, it HAD some animation in it afterall.Very good. |

Yeah, "Wings of Honneamise" IS a beautiful piece of animation, but in a fairly ordinary way, so no "artsy" tag is needed imo.Btw, fansub for "Tori no Uta"(GAnime) has just come out. Thanks go to "Kokoromi fansubs")) I really hope fansubbers WILL do more GAnime works. |

Hmm, I think someone mentioend Wings of Honneamise before, and I am not sure what I said back then. Right now, however, I have yet to get hold of a good version of the movie - the one I watched had quite some bad image quality, and so I dropped it pretty quickly. Honneamise gives me a similar impression as Ghost in the Shell, Paprika and other titles which look great without falling into the category 'artsy'. Of course that's just a gut feeling. |

Yeah I enjoyed Wings of Honneamise. It was beautifully produced and had an interesting message at the end; some might say a bit didactic, but important nonetheless. Overall, an excellent classic. |

Has anyone seen Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise? It was the first anime by Gainax. It has stunning visuals and a compelling story...it might not be as bizarre as Angel's Egg, but it's what would you call Art Anime (as in Art Film). Anyone care to add it to the list? |
