~About Subaru Sumeragi~

Tokyo Babylon: Subaru was born in Kyoto on 19 February 1974, the younger of a pair of fraternal twins, his elder twin being a girl named Hokuto. Their parents (who are never seen) were members of the Sumeragi, a clan of onmyōji who have served Japan and its emperors for hundreds of years.

Subaru was trained from an early age to become the 13th head of the Sumeragi clan, replacing his grandmother. At the age of nine he was separated from his sister Hokuto for a year of intensive training in Tokyo. On the day he ascended to the head of the clan, Subaru encountered a strange young man under a cherry tree. The meeting would subsequently be expunged from his memory.

Subaru's grandmother ordered him to wear gloves from that day onwards, and never to allow anyone else to see his hands. The old onmyoji cast a spell that would repel any attempts by others to remove them. Subaru never removed his gloves, and was known to wear them even when sleeping.

X: One of the Seven Seals; Although Subaru is uninterested in the battle for the end of the world, he is convinced to join the Dragons of Heaven and helps Kamui to come out of his catatonic state. Subaru is searching for Seishirou intending to avenge his twin sister Hokuto, but he can't banish the love he felt for Seishirou in his broken heart.

Tsubasa Chronicle (in TC manga/ TC OVA): One of the vampire twins who has been travelling between worlds thanks to the aid of Ichihara Yuuko.

Yes, CLAMP does do that to alot of their male characters. It's pretty cute the way Kamui has a little crush on Subaru in X!

Then i guess he falls for the personality without considering the gender and the closest term to explain it is probably bisexual. But i didnt know that he liked a girl cause o havent read the manga yet. And like i said his preferences dont matter for me to like him anyway. Besides in Clamp mangas most of the guys seem to ve bisexual, i believe Kamui is one too.

@Daphne: Well, there's no doubt that Subaru's in love with Seishirou. I mean, he states it outright so there's not one person who can deny that. But is he gay or bisexual? I would say bisexual because he did have a crush on a girl when he was a child. However, after he falls in love with Seishirou no one else really matters. Maybe we should say he's Seishirou-sexual!!

Yes, Hokuto considered Seishirou a friend. Even in the flashback in X Hokuto commented how she looked up to Seishirou. I never got the impression that she liked him more than as a friend, but apparently there are fans out there who think she does.

Nah, she considered him more like a very good and royal friend. Though she did mention a few times that he was goodlooking and stuff :) are you reading Tokyo Babylon now?! It would have been a better idea if you read it before watching X 'cause X is more like a sequal ;/

Yeah i figured he's bisexual after that conversation :P But that doesnt change the fact that he was in love with a man right? And not that i mind cause im interested in BL pairings more than straight ones,usually. By the way didnt Hokuto also liked Seishiro xD?
