Unofficial MyAnimeList API

This is no longer being worked on!

I'm working on an unofficial API for MyAnimeList on top of the current official API.

Source code: http://github.com/chuyeow/myanimelist-api/

The main reasons I'm working on this are:

    * development of the official API is stagnant,
    * the official API is insufficient and has bugs that haven't been fixed for a long time,
    * to focus on the more commonly used features on MyAnimeList.net, and
    * to provide a developer-friendly API following HTTP REST principles.

I'm looking for testers and feedback, do make a wall post or forum post if you have any ideas or wanna help test.

@Sylpheed The public facing http://mal-api.com/ seems to still be down but you can request your own whitelisting through the form @ https://atomiconline.wufoo.com/forms/mal-api-usage-notification/ and deploy your own copy of the code.

I apologize everyone, the recent API 'whitelisting' is now using a new form to accumulate data (we did not anticipate the huge influx of whitelisting requests.) If you need to be whitelisted, please fill up this form: https://atomiconline.wufoo.com/forms/mal-api-usage-notification/

Looks like mal has taken notice of the unofficial api and does not like it.

Same here. Actually I've encountered 502-error many times. Usually it lasts no more than 12 hours. Let's wait and see how things turn out...

mal.api.com server is giving me:
502 Bad Gateway

Anyways, I worked on the manga support on my client I'm working on (MAL Client OS X) and the manga updating, list/info loading works perfectly... It only took a few days to work out the whole thing...
