Hinamazawa - a town secluded from the rest of society where secret and hidden horrors await. A boy named Keiichi moves to Hinamazawa, but everything is not as nice and lovely as it seems and his new friends aren't quite the cute, innocent girls they seem to be. However, Keiichi holds his own secrets, as well. Will everyone learn to trust each other?
As mentioned, it couldn't be Rika at the end of Kai as it wouldn't fit the time line. Also, the way she spoke heavily implies that it was Bernkastel.
Whether Bernkastel was an important character or not is yet to be known, as Higurashi only leaves us with questions about her. This is a case only speculation will be able to solve, unless Ryukishi stops playing with our minds and gives us a clear answer within Umineko (because I don't believe in Ryukishi's Higurashi references thus far).
Mangagamer haven't made any promises, and EvoSpace specifically made use of the word "might". Don't get your hopes up.
I thought mangagamer's Higurashi VN translation was supposed to be released last month, but a quick google search says it's probably been delayed until mid December. le sigh~
The stuff at the beginning of the novel like "if a world doesn't forgive you i will forgive you" is all Bern's sayings, right? How come she isn't an important character?
