It's got too do with Japanese language. There's actually a difference between these expressions, the first one would be hitori, which means (if I'm correct) "alone" as in by yourself, like not surrounded by other people. The second one would be sabishi, which means "lonely" as in feeling lonely. It's kinda hard to explain, but it's mainly the subs that make it sound lame, in Japanese, it actually makes sense. |
