As this list becomes more and more popular (thanks everyone! Feedback appreciated!), I'm adding a friendly reminder: Autistic people are as diverse as neurotypical people are. This list could contain every character from every anime ever made and still be accurate as autistic rep! I just add the ones who "score higher" in showing more common autistic traits.

Comedies also count.

I dedicate this list to the people who want to ponder. For those who crave deeper experiences out of their anime.

To qualify for the list, the manga had to be at least 15 years old when the anime came out. Organized in ascending order by length of time between manga and anime. Each manga can only be accounted for once, so no remakes - those go on a separate list.

List is incomplete. Let me know if there are any big ones I'm missing. Thanks to everyone who has helped me add to this list.

In this stack each prefecture will have only one representative and the direction will be by the Japanese ISO (ISO 3166-2:JP).

The works chosen are personal choices, so it doesn't mean that the anime will be the highest representation of that region.
