Kids' shows turned comedies. ADV rewrote Ghost Stories and FUNimation rewrote Crayon Shin-chan for Adult Swim. Both dubs are packed with political incorrectness and comical one-liners.

Both are exactly same kind of anime, I feel that shinchan is the newer version of Hagimaru. Both the character designs are same, same kind of background, same kind of dirty jokes. The only difference is there is some slice of life moment in shinchan while it is absent in Hagimaru. Switch off your brain and laugh while watching these two shows.

both have similar styles, stupid characters, and the jokes are simply "under the belt" but ebichu is a bit more... explicit

Similar style of comedy.

Both are based on seinen mangas (with explains the number of dirty jokes). Both are starred by little brats who insults their moody mothers, have a pet puppy, an alcoholic fathers, a sister and a grandpa. Most of the characters eyes where drawn in a simplistic way.

Both Chibi Maruko-chan and Crayon Shin-chan revolves around the daily lives of a youngster (Maruko-chan being a 9 year old and Shin-chan a 5 year-old), including their relationship with their family and friends. They are also both funny.

Both features preschool aged protagonists doing odd stuff. And they have a pet.

Though the similarities may not be obvious at first, Both Azumanga Daioh and Crayon Shin-chan are two hilarious slice of life comedies with charming animations and hilarious characters.

Both shows revolve around a bunch of little kids The characters are very alike, Boo is like Kotarou, nanny is like Kirin and Himawari is like Midori chan The kids cause trouble

They are both really good comedies and parodies in their own way. One Punch Man for the shounen genre and Crayon Shin Chan for the slice of life genre. The main characters in both animes are also really charismatical, and the secondary characters are probably crazier as well.

-Both series are very goofy and have a good amount of crude humor -Both series have a distinctive art style -Both series have (in my opinion) awesome English dubs

Both are random, cute/funny, and take place in present-day Japan. Anyone who enjoys Konata's (Lucky Star) jokes will probably enjoy Shin-chan's crazy antics, and vice versa. The art style of both series is cartoony and unique. Both series have been very successful and well-recieved by anime fans.

Shinnosuke and Rieko (both main characters) have a lot in common, even tho' one's not even 10 (I think) and the other is a full-grown adult with a family. Then again, Shinnosuke has a lot in common with even the two annoying kids and the drunk dad. Both anime's deliver great and humorous sketches throughout the show with two or three shorts an episode. Although Mainichi Kaa-san has an actual plot going on "in the background", Crayon Shin-chan doesn't.

Both are hilarious, random, and politically incorrect anime. Crazy characters a go-go, almost no plot, and most episodes are not linked to each other. Excel Saga & Shin-chan even have a background music in common in certain episodes.

They are not very similar but both anime's are a bit childish and don't make a lot of sense. And if you like that kind of comedy, the simple non-making-sense jokes than you'll like this too.

'LMAO' to both of them because of their innocent, immature actions/reactions that affect those around them especially the adults in the story which makes it funny. The only difference is the art and gender of the main characters. The main character in Shin Chan is a boy and for Hanamaru Youchien is a girl.

Very random and funny. Has alot of cool action scenes and very stange art at times.

Both are comedies about naughty children doing mischief and not getting along with their parents and siblings.

Daily life of a family of 4(house-wife mom, office-worker dad, a boy, a girl)

Comedy featuring a traditional Japanese family unit and the fun happenings of their everyday life. Shin-chan is more risque in terms of joke presentation, and the artstyles is more variable considering it's such a long running series. Yamada-kun is a film, and has a distinctive watercolour feel.
