Green Green OVA

"What the hell is up with the animation?" is what I thought to myself when I started watching it. The animation sucked so bad it made it hard to watch. The characters seemed lifeless and moved with no emotion.

I forced myself to finish watching this OVA. It honestly, was a waste of time. Let me break down it for you:

Story:
The story would've actually been quite interesting for a side story. It's about the boys staying at the girls school for a trial period (instead of vice versa like in the anime)
But, the animators and director ruined it. Everything seems to happen randomly. It's shows the girls preparing for the arrival, then 30 secounds later, Yuske is there. Then all of a sudden everyones there and is in the middle of class.
There were however, parts that made me laugh. The style of comendy is actally quite good. Slightly better than the average green green fan service comendy. But again, the animators ruined it.

Sound:
The opening and ending were really good. Basically a rock/punk version of orginal green green ones. However, the background music, when there actually was any, sucked. It didn't match the mood at all.

Characters:
The characters personalites are the same, but are very emotionless when talking. Seemed like voice actors just reading out of a textbook.
Also, the characters seem like they suddenly all know each other, when they susposly just met.

Really, don't watch this. If your dying for ecchi things, wathing hentai and getting caught by your parents is probaly better than forcing yourself to watch this. read more

===Animation===
Looking back at the original Green Green this is quite a disappointment. The character designs have stayed the same, most of the time, but the overall quality of the animation has dropped. They used very simple backgrounds and plain colours. Though this isn't all that bad. It's quite nice to watch since it doesn't strain your eyesight in any way.

===Sound===
The stronger point of this OVA. Fairly good OP and ED, and non-existent background music. However it's nothing to boast about compared to the music used in the original.

===Story===
Is there an actual story to this? Don't think so. It's basically turned around; the boys visit the girls this time. But since this is only one 26 minute OVA you can't expect too much. The story overall doesn't add anything.

===Characters===
Most of the characters are the same as in the original. Some are changed, more like brought down to earth. Of course, less characters get screen time, but this is no surprise hence the length. As for character development, null. Furthermore nearly all of the characters seem rather dull and emotionless. Quite poor overall...

===Enjoyment===
This was quite bad. It should be distributed as a freebie, even though I doubt that someone would want to get this. It adds nothing to the whole Green Green experience.
