Duh. Both show girls in a positive fashion, are animated by Toei, and have very similar plot designs (new villains replacing defated villains, cute mascots, learning the power of teamwork/friendship, etc.). If you like Pretty Cure, then there is no doubt that you'll like Sailor Moon.

they are both mahou shoujo series

Both are typical Magical girls with cute stories, but also have cool drama storytelling as well, like most magical girls, each episode is a different slice of life each episode before fighting the "Monster of the week",however, unlike Tokyo mew mew and Sailor Moon,The first season of Pretty Cure and it's direct Sequel Pretty Cure max heart use DBZ-style psysical fight scenes, rather than magica wands

This series reminds me of card captor sakura a bit because it combines magical girls and beautiful cards that help them fight against evil.

For those who fell in love with Nagisa and Honoka, this second season brings more of the same with the addition of Hikari to the main cast. Nothing stellar, but a nice continuation for major Cure Black & Cure White fans.

Another duo dynamic that tightens all the great aspects of its predecessor, offering memorable villains and a fascinating plotline that really works for its fifty episode runtime. A greater focus on the environment that makes for some beautiful backgrounds and battles.

Both are action/fantasy anime that focus on the growth and friendship between two anime girls.

The concept of "good versus evil" has been covered in media for quite some time, and these shows are no different! Both feature different and unique villains opposing the main character/s, while also including a lot of action with the thematic good versus evil. The hero/heroines in both shows have to hide their "true" appearance for the general public in order to save humanity.

The duo dynamic is back, with a greater focus on magical realms and colourful spells! Mirai and Riko's friendship will have Futari wa fans pleasantly surprised, and Ha-Chan's halfway entry is a load of fun. A similarly split plot, with different villains in the former and latter halves, but with refined animation and some killer enchantments.

Magical girl shows with somewhat annoying little creatures who always says their name after a sentence

Both are gigantic children’s anime franchises that feature huge casts of amazing and unique characters fighting against equally memorable villains.

Both shows feature femininity and strong female characters in a positive light. The female protagonists battle evil forces, and grow as characters as the shows progress.

Both have the same thematic of light versus darkness. Both have a stylistic and charismatic duo who fights against dark creatures. Both have the good and the bad side trying to get a special item that will gives the owner more power. Both have good dramatic fights and scenes.

Both are magical girl series that focus on the friendship and challenges of two anime girls.

Both shows are about ordinary anime girls gaining magical powers to protect the Earth from otherworldly villains.

Both are shoujos that involve magic, school, friendship, school love, magic creatures and magic world. Meepple and Mipple reminds me Mirmo and Rirumu. Pretty cure is most about mahou shoujo fight, and Mirumo de pon focus most love.

Both are about a magical girl duo with different personalities (One girl is energetic and impulsive, the other is quiet and smart).

Pretty cure is the same as the Ultra Maniac. The sameness is because they use magic and besides that Nina uses powers which are high technology like the Pretty Cure...

both are Maho shojo anime, with 2 lead characters that have to work together to fight the forces of evil before it can reach it's ultimate form.

Pretty magical girls against stupid villains; after decades the basic formula still the same.

Devices using cards, cute creatures like Calumon.

If you like cardcaptor sakura then you will love futari wa precure. They are both very similar and have a lot in common. Cute magical girls fighting crime.

These shows aren't really similar. Rather, if you've seen one, you might want to see the other to get what you were lacking. They're two halves of a good show. Pretty Cure has the slice-of-life goodness that Nanoha shortchanges in the name of action. And real shoujo cuteness that's much better than moe. Pretty Cure has shonen-ish fights that are fairly pointless. Nanoha also has shonen-ish fights (though in a different way; more energy attacks, less punching) where the characters really try and the fights matter more. And both are really yurish.

Both show's have 2 main character's that use team work to win. Character's are very similar to each other. Cure Black and Tiger both are laid back and would go in fighting. While Cure White and Barnaby are both very smart. Also they have smilier fighting styles.

Once again magical girls, but unlike Pretty Cure, Wedding Peach has it's main theme wedding.

Precure is basically the shoujo version of Gundam (or vice versa) - gigantic franchises with numerous spin-offs/alternative versions that both started as one series with the idea to sell toys to younger audiences, but went on to become more and acquire quite large franchises. Both could be said to feature episodical fights against various foes (showcased for the forementioned toys), the action sequences still being entertaining.
