Background

Based on a children's novel from 1968 by Paul Gallico, "Manxmouse: The Mouse Who Knew No Fear". The 1979 anime movie was dubbed into English, broadcast on Nickelodeon in 1989 and released on VHS in 1990 by Celebrity Home Entertainment.

The short review is: If you are five years old, you probably will enjoy this.

It's the story of Manxmouse, brought to life by a clay sculptor, who heads out on his own to explore the world. Manxmouse has no fear, until he learns of his fate, which is that he will be eaten by the equally legendary manx cat.
