Besides airing close together and both having beautiful animation, they're also sci-fi/fantasy action series set in the future and music plays a major role in their stories.

Same vibes, both have : - Similar beautiful animation, colors & chara-design - Sci-fi action ambiance - Male MC fighting thanks/assisted by a "musical" girl against opponent. - Romance between MC & assistant-fighter girl - Musical ambiance
report Recommended by Cainael
They're definitely similar for their main subject around music and how it could be mixed with a action battle kind of story, the relationship of the two main character is also similar even though for Takt Op is a trio, I would say Takt op is basically an improved version of Listeners for the animation of the fights

Episodic fight between superhumans and some kinds of mysterious monsters, which is not Mecha, presented by the powerhouse like MAPPA, Madhouse, A-1 Pictures, Studio Trigger and CloverWorks.

- cute girls fighting with the power of music - eldritch, hostile entities - cartoonish villain summons eldritch entities to crash the public event and commit a terrorist attack - MC's close friend dies at the start and is being replaced by a dorky girl. MC struggles to accept her. - MC using his/her power hurts him/her physically - very good visuals, average at best writing

Both shows involve a white haired combat girl who died but somehow lives in the present and has a kuudere attitude plus there's all sorts of weird monsters to fight. Both male MCs are kind of shut ins who don't really want anything to do with the outside world but an event changes them and now they have to fight.

Both have settings that show a futuristic society overrun by monsters (D2s/Gastrea) and pairs of (Musicarts/Cursed Children) and (Maestros/Promoters) to fight against them.

Stories about humans battling against aliens or monsters for survival are very common. Sometimes you want those aliens and monsters to have no motivation. They exist simply to battle against. Takt Op. Destiny and God Eater will fill that craving with all the trappings - an organization dedicated to saving humanity, destructive weapons, and hope for humanity. Maybe this simplicity is thanks to their video game origins.

When I watched Lycoris Recoil, I felt the same as when I watched Takt. Op Destiny. I think it's because Destiny/Cosette is such a mix of Takina and Chisato *maaaybe Takt is more like Takina xD* :333 Chisato and Destiny even look alike - blonde hair and red clothes~ and both fight very well. In both anime, the "good persons" are actually evil and the main characters have to defeat them. In both series, we have a thread about the main character being close to death.

The art in jujutsu kaisen is what really got me into the show. Takt OP. was a perfect choice for MAPPA. Such beautiful animation and great fight scenes. I love the colors and the fact I am interested in an anime about music, blows me away.

At first we don't know what the setting of the story and what the goal of the main casts are but as we watch, we start to learn about the world and character in it.

Do you believe music has power? Yeah, music has a lot of power in these animes. If you like powers like these you're gonna love both

They both have the same kind of animation, both about fighting monster with an incredible animation. They both have the same vibe and the main mc is also a girl.

Storywise re-zero is better than Takt Op but Takt op is not that bad. I recommend you should watch re-zero if you like this anime

In noragami, the "god" calls their weapon's name and the character turns into a weapon. This is very similar to Takt Op. Destiny where the Musicart becomes, from a normal person, to a musicart with weapons to fight the monsters (or D2s).

Both Road Anime -Jotaro going to Egypt to cure Holly -Takt going to New york to cure Cosette

Both shows have our arrogant and initially unidimensional protagonists that drastically change because a close experience with dead, also both protagonists will be close related with a girl with a similar fate and despite both girls are tremenously powerful, the protagonists tend to call them useless because they are brainless

battling, but this time using humans, and you're called a conductor....

both are anime that fight with music, yes very silly

Both series are about a dysfunctional male and female pair who were teamed up by fate to save the world and beat up bad guys in a post-apocalyptic future. Rumble Garanndoll is the more energetic and imaginative of the two, with more consistent animation quality.

Similar dynamic of Master-Servant between main characters, Cosette looks like Red Saber too.

Takt Op. Destiny and Darling in the FranXX exist in worlds where humanity is battling against alien species using FranXX mechas (in Darling) and Musicarts (in Takt Op. Destiny). Both series try to use unique mechanics to set themselves apart from other apocalyptic anime. At their cores, the strength of the heroes (Hiro/Zero Two and Takt/Destiny) comes from their bonds and how that increase their powers. Some viewers might consider these mechanics as absurd and not start the series, but if you enjoyed one series then you might enjoy the other.

Post-apocalyptic anime series where humanity is trying to rebuild itself and is fighting against evil creatures. An organization (Symphonica in Takt Op. Destiny and Japanese Imperial Demon Army in Owari no Seraph) was formed to fight against these creatures. Despite their missions to save humanity, deception and betrayal are found in both organizations that threatens its heroes. Supporting characters and antagonists in Owari no Seraph are better developed than Takt Op. Destiny.

To be more original, creators often introduce mechanics that will make or break their anime. Takt Op. Destiny and Valvrave the Liberator have very much different stories, but their main protagonists are suddenly thrust into having power...at a price. Haruto Tokishima (Valvrave the Liberator) accepts this price to protect his home from a galactic superpower. Takt Asahina (Takt Op. Destiny) accepts this price to eliminate alien creatures to be able to bring back music to the world. If you are looking for anime where power comes at a price and your enjoyment isn't guaranteed then both series should satisfy you. Valvrave the Liberator is the  read more

The main fighting duo are fatefully connected with similar restrictions on their power. Scattered lighthearted moments and long distance travelling to achieve their goal while the world is at stake.

I personally love the main character and sidekick chemistry and both these animes share that as well as the supernatural aspect and fighting against strange creatures. But the similarities end there, Ultramarine Magmell is less serious and not as well polished in terms of animation or story but for someone whos looking for "another anime" with that chemistry mentioned earlier this could be one.

same energy - using music to fight

Macross has an undeniable legacy among mecha anime, but its footprints are equally as visible in any anime using music to combat against or communicate with aggressive aliens. Macross applies this concept to create a space opera whereas Takt Op. Destiny essentially creates a road trip anime. If you enjoy this type of narrative then watch where it began with Macross or how it has evolved with Takt Op. Destiny.

Same concept as Polyphonica; Conductor <-> Dantist, Musicart <-> spirit Takt <-> Phoron, Destiny <-> Corticarte
report Recommended by WhoBeDaPlaya
both have: -good visuals -duo male master/slave-waifu with predictable romance -cold slave-waifu whith superpowers who fight againt other salve-waifu and their master -shallow world building centered around one particularity (money, music) but underused -same style of fights with little explanations

If you're really enjoying the music portions of Takt Op. Destiny, I think this show will suit you well. It really captivates you into the music. The art and genre may be totally different but its definitely worth the watch.
