Both give the same feeling about a magical adventure, they have very similar art styles and characters. Both are cute and fun, if you liked one of them you'll definitely like the other.

Having the much alike backdrop of a divided Japan with different factions vying for more territory, it's quite easy to compare "Kill la Kill" to "Rolling☆Girls". To expand more on the setting, within both of their hierarchal societies, there exists leading combatants who don on costumes as well as standard uniforms for their subordinates. Additionally, the over-the-top nature in the action scenes of these two shows make them stand out from many other series. The lively colour palettes of both these shows also add to their seemingly randomness. "Rolling☆Girls", though produced by Studio Wit, is very reminiscent of a Studio Trigger production, as its  read more

Rolling Girls is like a less substantive FLCL. Particularly when it comes to the main characters' role in the story, FLCL has a lot more going for it. Where they are similar are the over the top, super enjoyable fight scenes. Though FLCL is more crazy and Rolling Girls is more artsy, they both want those fight scenes to be a lot of fun to watch. And they are.

Cute girls doing cute things. Both anime deals with riding motorcycles or mopeds. It has an all female main cast. In Rolling girls they were on a quest to find something and uncover a mystery too. While in Bakuon is about motorcycles + Slice of Life.

Both of these series involve four ordinary girls going on an adventure/quest together.

"Rolling☆Girls" and "One Off" incorporate motorcycles in a slice-of-life setting with a main cast of all girls. The characters from both anime learn and discover new things as they travel to different places with their beloved vehicles.

Stylistically very similar in both color design and approach to narrative. Similar effects and even cast.

the only similarity is that the girls sing the opening song. They are part of a band. Show By Rock deals with a new up in coming band +CGI. While Rolling Girls has an adventure like feel.

If you gender-flip the characters, you'll realize these two anime have a lot in common, from both having a set of four quirky main protagonists (complete with one who is secretly or not-so-secretly a fish-like alien in both), to the dazzling color palette and great animation with retro-rock vibe openings and endings, and 12-episode run. Both anime focus on friendship (and aliens?) although they also both have their unique spin on how they do that. Tsuritama throws in a fishing angle (yes, it's about fishing, and somehow it's glorious and makes complete sense!) as well as humor and a light, but solid, use of real  read more

The visual aesthetics of both programs are extremely similar and full of expressiveness

Both of the series have their unusual graphics; not a "typical anime" art style. Both of them are telling beautiful stories about love, friendship and power. They both feature more female leads.

Both have unique characters and a storyline that seems to go all over the place. They each have their fantasy aspects and the art looks very similar.

For those who likes stories with so much characters, plot just a little blurry but a lot a surprise attacks, light, colors and racket/loud battles.

- Upbeat CGDCT aesthetic - Darker backstory - Ever so slightly arthouse - 4 girl cast - Road trip - Transportation method fetishization There you go

easy going. random cute stuff happens. colorful and bright tone without being too sweet or cheesy.

Both shows have very similar premises, ie exploring different parts of Japan all isolated into various different cultures. Both have a very fun, adventurous feel to them, though I feel Estab Life is more successful than Rolling Girls in terms of delivering a consistent experience.

Similar striking visuals and rather unconventional story telling. While both shows have fundamentally different plots, they both involve superpowered humans (or heroes) fighting each other in over-the-top fighting sequences.

Series with lively atmospheres in an alternative and decidedly more magical version of Japan with many characters who are battle ready but hardly in the expected manner. There are strong bonds that hold different factions together and there is a general playful feeling despite the combat that may be happening.

Zvezda Plot and Rolling Girls have equally fantastical settings that drive their nonsensical plot. However, the benefit of this is that both series come with great color palettes that turn art, rather than animation, into an asset.

Very similar genki, moe style while taking place in a dystopian future and focusing on girls as the future.

I felt like the colors and art were similar. Also how they both include small bits of randomness that come together in the end. You need to watch the entire season from beginning to end for the stories to unfold. Chiaya, from Rolling Girls, made me think of Himari, from Mawaru Penguindrum - you do not need to be related by blood to be family. They are both about friendship and family with supernatural elements tossed in. Mawaru Penguindrum has a more serious feeling than Rolling Girls.

Both shows give off an eccentric and lively atmosphere, coupled with vivid, eye catching background art.

"Galilei Donna" and "Rolling☆Girls" both have a cast of all female protagonists, each with their own unique personalities. The lead characters go on an adventure across lands where they have never been to before, often facing obstacles along their way but making new friends as well.

Lighthearted fun. Similar colour scheme. Well animated fights. Cute characters.

Both are about group of girls having fun. Yeah, it's this 'cute girls doing cute things' type. Everyday life of girls with cute art, also with slice of life themes. Really similar feeling.

"Celestial Method" / "Sora no Method" and "Rolling☆Girls" are both slice-of-life shows with a large female cast as well as a supernatural spin on things. The two shows often go into serious backstories and showcase characters in emotional events.
