Angelium

One of the all time greats in my book. Really fun and casual, nothing too hardcore aside from a couple short tentacle scenes.

This hentai has plenty of memorable scenes which are filled with comedy and lewdness.

*Story - nothing really much to say about this, not even close to Bible Black level but i don't think the people who watch this would care.
*The characters designs are amazing - I absolutely adore Yu!
*Animation quality is really good and would absolutely put any hentai today to shame.
*It is uncensored and an fantastic one - very detailed compared to modern day stuff.
*Voices are good and the dub is somewhat ... bearable.
*Decent length - 2 episodes each being 30 minutes, pretty standard stuff.
*Soundtrack/music is surprising diverse, although they do re-use one in particular for the main guy when he goes into "horny mode"

Overall, highly recommended to new watchers of the genre. This was actually one of my firsts and it's what got me hooked.

It is not everyday you see a H anime which features Zeus, it offers some good opportunities for interesting set designs and storytelling, however it is not really built upon and even though the main characters are angels the opportunities to build on this concept are not really explored.

The story consists of 3 angels who are sent to earth in order to prove they are capable of being angelic, if they pass this test than they can qualify to be fully fledged angels, with some of their actions being counteracted by a pesky devil-angel sent up from Hades.

The H scenes are usually brought ... about through the angels' misunderstanding of human anatomy and believing that sexual activity is a helpful and angelic act, the H scenes make up much less than half the content of the 2 episodes with only one fully fledged sex scene appearing in the second episode.

The second episode also features a tentacle monster which briefly penetrates one of the characters, but their appearance feels a lot like an afterthought and not an essential theme of the show.

The art style and sound is average, the characters are uncensored with features that can be described as slightly larger than average but by no means big by H anime standards.

I would not really recommend this show based on its angel / Greek mythology as like I said it does not seem to play too much of a pivotal role in any of the H scenes, so if it something you are hunting for then this may not be the place for you to find it.

It at least has a pretty original story and some likable (possibly even memorable) characters.

A mythology-based hentai, Angelium (at least slightly):
It's about how 3 angel apprentices undergo the "angel's test" in order to become full-fledged angels while having Zeus, their god and leader, present them sexual obstacles in the way. However, there's a hidden motif for Zeus's harsh training... But you'll have to find that out by yourself; I'm not spoiling it.

The mythological part I mentioned is that they base the characters in the Greek mythology: Zeus is married to his sister, Hera, but still has multiple relationships with other women, out of marriage. Hades is the god of the underworld, with his queen Persephone, and wants to gain ... more power.

Art and animation is alright, the depiction of the female body is fun to watch (in any way you want to think of it), although it could've had more details and better shading techniques.

Sound is just fine, it doesn't excell in anything, neither in a bad way nor a good one.

Character development is very superficial. The main characters are left unexplained basically, and the secondary characters, you will only understand them if you have read about Greek mythology in the past.

Overall, the series is alright if you like hentai animes and sexual scenes. If hentai is not within your likings, don't bother.

P.S.: For the producers, just because it's a hentai, it doesn't mean you don't have to come up with interesting stories! Come on, gives us hentai series with good, well-developed plots!
