Both of these shows follow the same formula, featuring a rough-around-the-edges new teacher reaching out to problem students who eat normal teachers for breakfast. GTO is the funnier of the two by a long shot, but they're both quite good.

Both animes about delinquents, although Gokusen is funnier with less fighting. I think they might even be set in the same area of Tokyo, since they both feature a really similar bridge.

1-The school has a genre predominated: Gokusen-Boys. Strawberry Eggs-Girls. 2-Both teachers hide their real identity. *Spoiler* 3-Both assistant manager of the school discover and reveal the identities. 4-A student has loving feelings for the teacher.

Similarities: school life, girl being protected by a boy who falls for her. Both tomoe and shin are violent and wild, but they are gentle and protective toward their loved ones. Differences: no supernatural elements in gokusen. (Maybe except fuji)

Both shows feature an unlikely candidate for a teacher: in Gokusen, the teacher is a daughter of Yakuza and in Assassination Classroom the teacher is a bio-engineered squid man thing. Both shows have a teacher working with a class of students deemed unteachable and unworthy by the rest of the school. In both cases, the teacher strives to improve the confidence and academic ability of the students. However, Assassination Classroom has the added bonus of generating assassins (which somehow works out to be more humorous than violent). Don't be fooled though, Gokusen has its fair share of action too, since it takes  read more

They're similar because they're a group of high schoolers under one teacher and usually fight in groups; Bamboo Blade portrays "official" fights. Bamboo Blade has less romance in it but more comedy. If you liked Fuji (the dog) in Gokusen or the Yakuza crying when acting like in a theatre play, you'd probably like Bamboo Blade for similar reasons. If you liked Gokusen for the martial scenes, Bamboo Blade is also a good choice. They really show appreciation for kendo and the technical side of it, while also having females practicing and being great at it.

Both have female characters that are fierce AF Slayy Queens and will gladly grind you under their feet, you know, if you're into that. no judgment.

High School Jingi and Gokusen are similar in style and humor and yakuza - both of these shows follow the same formula, featuring a rough-around-the-edges new teacher reaching out to problem students who eat normal teachers for breakfast.

The strong point of the series are the great, loveable set of characters and both series abilities to portray... Well, life in a way. You empathise with almost every character at some point and become invested in them. Gokusen is of course not a sports anime but it has the same feel as Hajime no Ippo, the perfectly balanced mix of wacky/genuine and even some mysterious characters with some moments of seriousness. I wanted to write this recommendation because while I was watching Hajime no Ippo, thoughts of Gokusen kept popping up in my head, because of the likeness in "feeling". They are both kind  read more

Both Gokusen and Salaryman Kintaro show the lives of two individul who both follow their dream career while trying to balance their personal live. In Gokusen Kumiko Yamaguchi is a young woman who has dreamed her whole life of being a school teacher. However she has a seceret. She is the heiress to the Oedo Yakuza clan. She becomes a teacher to a class of troubled students and tries to keep her secret as she shepherds her students toward graduation. Whilst in Salaryman Kintaro the main character of the story is Yajima Kintaro, a former leader of a feared biker gang. He then decides to choose a  read more

The shin reminds me of usui. They both smart and good loking. Shin is a bit more violent. He falls almost instantly for kumiko, and tries to protect her in every way. Also both girls are strong and independent. The romance is not spelled out like in maid sama, but it's there.

In both comedies, the protagonist is an heir of a powerful clan, but tries to live a normal life and thus hides his true identity while having to solve the problems of the clan. Both also have a romantic plot line. Plus, both have supernatural (in Gokusen it is a human-like talking dog).

The NEET of Kamisama no Memochou remind me greatly of the characters from Gokusen in the fact that they don't fit in. It also involves Yakuza that is not normal.

Both of these stories are about school lives that are out there, in some way or another.

Being normal at school tends to be frowned upon, but both of these series look at groups of kids who are different and find ways to fit in eventually/sort of.

If you like anime about schools, delinquents, street fights then I guess you will like them both. But I would say Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! is a lot funnier because it has greater humor.

This one is also about a highschool full of delinquents

Altho the main story is radically different, they both have a heavy dose of school delinquents.

Both main characters are clever girls teaching some pervert students. But the teenagers turn out more interesting persons. So teachers and their students both grow up and became a team.

These both have strong lead females in a mafia family(which causes struggle for them) as the main character, with the rest of the cast being primarily males. If you like good-looking males, I suggest watching Gokusen in live-action drama form.

KHR and Gokusen are similar they are funny. They are surrounded by mafia families

Similarities: -Both involve school filled with delinquents -Everyone doesn't expect much of the main character because they are a female, but in reality, they are extremely strong and nobody should think little of them -Tenshi focuses mostly on romance as for Gokusen has little romance, shows signs -Both gives you same feel -Both very funny and entertaining -Both great story line
