These anime suffer from production issues that leave the source material to be cut, rearranged or completely abandoned - rendering it not cannon at all! These decisions don't necessarily ruin the series, but its something to take into account if u are after the full plot from the original author. This list ranges from incredibly good to laughably bad, so I've ordered it by score so you have a better idea of what you're in for. Sequels are not included.

as a halloween lover as well as an anime lover, I always love horror/halloween themed anime. with October coming in less than a month, why not put out some halloween watches?

stories of siblings being more than just siblings with one another as a main focus in the series (not necessarily romantic, though a lot of these are). everything goes from mild brocon/siscon to almost hentai. (no actual hentai is included.)

these anime are organized roughly in order from most wholesome to most perverted. i also include a short synopsis of each one along with some useful info, hopefully it can be helpful in picking a new show to watch. just keep in mind that not all of this is worth watching, i just want to give you all the options.

i only included the main entry [with one exception, for good reason] if a series has multiple seasons/ovas/movies etc. (no stacking the list with random ovas here!)

This is a list of the Most Unique Anime at least for the time it came out. Anime that tells a story in a completely new way or popularizes a gene or theme are more likely to be featured. This list has an extra preference for anime with strange plot and unsettling elements, including anything considered edgie. Plot and Message are valued highly, especially is expressed in a completely new way. Anime that is commentary on a gene or trope are also preferred on list. Commonly features stories that are dark or cruel in nature, but there are plenty of anime on the list that are not.

List is ordered with a balance between uniqueness and user score.
