Shirokuma Cafe

Using the restaurant theme but actually can take place in any settings, Shirokuma Cafe and Working are pretty much situation comedy that happen to take place in restaurant and coincidentally share the common activity of arubaito (part-time work.) Shirokuma cafe take a safe route of all-age and genders appeal. I double dare anyone to come up with demographic group that can't watch this. Working is a male-oriented show that have lots of girls (as usual) and happen to appeal to female too due to it's neutral standing between male and female emphasis. It is made from female-mangaka manga that serialized in late-teen to adult mangazine, but pretty much anyone can read it with no parental advisory.  read more 

While not entirely similar, both series has the premise of working at a local area to make a living. The characters from both series live their common lives in a slice of life like pattern. There is also some animals from both series. The atmosphere from both these series is also light and pleasant to get into. With that, they have tons of comedy and fun moments.  

Both are fun comedy anime with a eccentric cast of characters voiced by a large star-studded veteran seiyuu cast. They have similar character archetypes - a happy go lucky guy, a lazy guy, a guy who's liked by everyone, a straight man, a big brother, a cool guy, a comic relief guy.. etc. They share multiple of the same voice actors. Also, both anime are broken down into skits/parts and episodic/standalone. 

Both sweet, low-key and about animals.  

I always like to keep my recommendations short and quick because it really comes down to the viewer. One of the first things that jumped out at me was that Natsu (the bear) has a lot of the same strange humor that Shirokuma had from SC. Almost a deadpan delivery. The other that both had was that the animals interacted with human. With SC, all the animals interacted with human. In KM, only the bears interacted with members of people of a small village in the northern Tohoku region. Interacted as they talked to each other. This makes for some funny conversations at time. read more

While not being from the cute-girls-doing-cute-things genre as GochiUsa, Shirokuma Cafe has a similar relaxing atmosphere with comedy here and there. They also both have something to do with cafes and fluffy animals. 

Both are slice-of-life anime featuring a zoo and a great deal of appreciation for pandas.  

Both shows are about talking animals in a 'human' world. Unlike Africa no Salaryman, there are actual humans in Shirokuma Cafe. 

-both are gag anime -both got weird kind of humor -both got wicked characters -both got great openings and simmilar endings If you liked the Arakawa under The Bridge you should watch Polar Bear Caffe :)  

Both series feature human and realistic looking talking animal characters in slice of life settings with fantasy elements. Well, in the case of Shirokuma Cafe the only fantasy element is that the animals can talk and act like humans. As for Hakumei to Mikochi the humans are tiny chibi people. In any case, if you like cute talking animals these animes are for you. 

-Both of the main characters (Umaru/Panda) have similarity on hobby/traits such as lazing around, eating a most favorite food and especially appearance of cuteness! 

Even tough Shokugeki doesn't include any animals, it share's the cooking theme with the Shirokuma 

Similarity - Human is not a main character Difference - In Hamtarou, hamster is in the form of pet unlike Shirokuma cafe that they able to speak with human straight away Which one is better? Shirokuma cafe 

although shirokuma cafe is at a much slower, toned-down pace compared to nichijou's extreme high-tempo comedy, they're both very slice-of-life and both have similar absurd humor with a lot of puns and fun unique characters to boot 

Both feature a human girl who hangs out with animals that act like people and that people can understand, both are clean, and both give a homey feel. 

Both series take a similar approach in carefully creating anthropomorphized animals with human characteristics. While Beastars focuses more on exploring darker themes of human society, Shirokuma Cafe explores how everyday interactions give rise to friendship. If you like the world building aspect and interaction of different animal species in Beastars, the easy-going anime Shirokuma Cafe might be your cup of tea. It also features a somewhat awkward panda as a protagonist. 

Shirokuma Cafe doesn't have any "real" story. Yet the character is so loveable. If you like this kind of relaxing anime, I recommend Non Non Biyori. The comedic and relaxing vibe is (for me) good. Very "friendly" series. 

Both anime series includes animals and human. The only difference is that in Shirokuma the humans can understand animals and in Massugu humans don't understand animals  

Aggretsuko and Polar Bear Cafe are two adorable slice of life comedy series that follow animals through their day to day jobs. Aggretsuko is more dramatic and takes place in an accounting office. Polar Bear Cafe is more laid back and cute and takes place in a cafe.  

I would say that these anime are similar because they are anime that are quite normal and the characters just take part in doing normal things like school, work, hanging out with friends, etc. but it includes a lot of humor some heartwarming moments too ^^ they are definitely the kind of anime to watch to boost your mood. 

Animal friends hanging out and trying to enjoy life through what they know best. Usually their cast of characters are stuck in strange human like predicaments(tooth aches, etc) which causes a lot of comedic scenarios. 

Watching Shirokuma, I always have this image of Antique Bakery in my mind. First of all it's of course the concept of cafe as the main stage for the story, music is very much alike, an the main point is the whole atmosphere of the anime, it's like sitting in a comfortable cafe, enjoying your favorite meal, observing nice people around you. Both give the same positive feelings.  

It has the same air as Shirokuma Café. They're both slice of life anime, where there's no real "goal" with the story but rather a day-to-day story. I believe there are some similarities in characters as well, for instance Panda being as lazy as Yuuki or Penguin as the ironic and the one with sudden outrages as Kaname.  

Both feature cute talking animals, and have a strong/frequent theme of friendship. 

Both feature lovable talking animals who don't always have the most envied personality traits in the world. The language and humor tends to be simple and easy to understand. (Great for learning Japanese) 

Cute animals doing silly things. 

Animals having silly but meaningful adventures. 

You may be wondering, why a trio-of-school-girls and a group-of-talking-animals-and-a-few-stray-humans? Well, this recommendation is based far less on things like that and mostly on the fact that these shows rely on basic conversation, often comedic, to carry the story. There is no overarching plot in either of these. It's basic everyday life for the characters, and what pulls things along is the power of the main character ensemble. There are silly antics, word-based humor (puns are rampant in Shirokuma Cafe), and dialogue-driven scenes that make you want to snicker and grin and facepalm. 

Japanese national standard of slice-of-life genre. Anime, manga, drama, or other form of fictional works, if it is slice-of-life, this is what it will looks like. Feature both super interesting and blatantly average lead characters to create contrast. Have some place they can gather or some activity they have in common to create conversation. Emphasize a lot on stuffs that ACTUAL Japanese people talk about, like season, weather and how's that guy doing. While both anime looks a lot different visually, I assure you, that if they are both a live-action TV show, they will give you the same reaction. Either OMG this is so laid back I love it or yawn I'm sleeping and it's not even dark yet. read more 

Both somewhat peaceful slice-of-life animes featuring a lazy 'protagonist'. Tanaka-kun is set in school and Shirokuma cafe is set in a world where animals speak and co-exist normally but also likes to make fun of that fact. Also great deadpan humour in both while also being very wholesome and heartwarming. 

Both are about homely cafes with welcoming atmosphere. Their main characters also care about their guests on a deeper level than just their money. They also tend to put more effort into making quality food. 

While both series doesn't have the same premise, they involve the concept of the working environment. The major difference is the addition of animals in Shirokuma Cafe. However, Servant x Service does have our mascot bunny as a boss. There's a lot of humorous moments presented in a slice of life format. The main characters' interactions makes up for the memorable scenes and dialogues. Both series' also has an ordinary girl that works with the characters who is considered kind but sometimes naive. 

A fun, comedic story involving humans interacting with talking pandas like it's perfectly normal, and there being a zoo or circus holding some importance. Now granted, Polar Bear Cafe is focused on the interactions of talking animals period, not just pandas (although one of the main characters is Panda, a young panda who works part-time at a local zoo), and relies a lot on puns and running gags and dialogue to carry the story. Opposed to that, Panda Kopanda is about a young girl who "adopts" a father and son panda duo as her family, and her adventures with them. That said, the similarities in subject matter and the lighthearted tone should be enough to make a fan of one want to watch the other. read more 

In essence, there's a slice of life feeling feeling in both series. But more than that, some of the characters aren't so normal; or rather not even human. There is a lot of comedy that is presented in a lighthearted way. The main characters also have fun with their lives doing various activities such as working, chilling out, and trying new things in life. Both series also has this sense of fun atmosphere that although seems somewhat unrealistic but gets its point across with the characters' every day lives. 

Both Anime have personification/representation with human qualitites. Shirokuma has animals with human qualities while Hetalia has countries that represent them 

Both have humans and animals living in the same environment with the animals being able to speak human language. Animal Crossing is based off of a game while Shirokuma Cafe is an adaptation of manga. 

Both have non human main character's doing human things. Cat Shit One is bunnies and other animals in a war setting, while Shirokuma Cafe has all kinds of animals in a slice of life/comedy setting. 

Both have humans and anthropomorphic characters living in the same environment with the anthropomorphic characters being able to speak human language. However, It may have an different genre and theme.
