Both series involve people who have special abilities with their minds.

Gothic and very similar down to the orphaned boy who can sense other people's emotions gimmick, but Night head Genesis has more of a story than Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitterieu, and there are no 'demons' so to speak but people with supernatural powers, the atmosphere is arguably quite close.

it has the same feel to it as you watch it. Both are very slow paced and repetative. If you liked one, you'll like the other

Both animes relate to characters who have "superpowers" or are above average humans in some way. Many of the characters in both of the series sometimes struggle to come to terms with their powers.

Code geass and Night Head have the supernatural theme of course there is meccha in code geass and psychics in night head which differ them but they are above all both very enjoyable that will make you watch them at the end of your seat until they both finished and after you are just sad that they are finished.

Night Head Genesis and Boogiepop And Other are both supernatural thrillers that explore the potentially disastrous consequences of spiritual powers unleashed. These series are extremely dark and delve into the darkest aspects of the human psyche. With this said, Boogiepop Phantom is considerably more complex, with a narrative that breaks all conventions, being highly non-linear while Night Head Genesis is easier to follow and much more conventional in terms of story telling.

These two anime are sci-fi horror anime that explores what happens when psychic powers are granted to humans. The main character in these two anime also have a evil organization link to their past. Not to mention that these two anime are very dark and deals with the darkest aspects of the human psyche.

At the very beginning Night Head Genesis reminded me so much of Weiß kreuz! They share the same ambience, melodrama, and even the artwork styles are similar (although Genesis is much more consistent than poor Weiß). While there are no assassins in Night Head Genesis, both anime do revolve around unique sets of people and professional organizations; for instance, Arc is comparable to Eszett. The plot is carried out in much the same way as the Missions of Weiß - that is to say, with story arcs that are all connected by an overall scheme in the end. The arcs in Genesis are not  read more

Similarity consists in the supernatural ability and in the genre, which includes supernatural and detective elements.

Both animes deal with the mysteries of human brain, both have an intellectual feeling and demonstrate how dark and cruel humans can be. Also, in both animes the main characters are two males (brothers in Night Head Genesis and a boss and an employee in Himitsu).

Both contain characters with a "special ability" who are unsure about where they belong. Each anime also contains a slight "world is trying to heal itself" and possible "annihilation of the human race" plot as well. Unfortunately, both animes also have a rather unsatisfying ending... but don't let that stop you from watching either! They're both great!

Both involve people with psychic abilities who are hated and persecuted by normal people.

-2 brothers who resolves supernaturals police puzzles. - One brother seem more fragile (Sam in SN, and Naoya in NHG) Same supernatural and combat ambiances. Supernatural is softest with humor and comics situation, than NHG who is more dramatic and serious ambiance.

Both series are run deep with emotional and psycological overtones that lead the view to question humanity. The stories are slow-paced but intricate and leave you with a sense of wanting more at the end of each episode. In each show, the series starts with a pair of siblings running for there lives in a dark and sinister world. Both are taken down paths they are not sure are ethical as they develop psychic abilities in order to combat and survive in the dark twisted world around them.

Both shows give the same over all feeling with very similar elements. They both revolve around youth and their unholy powers as they try to learn and cope with the chaos around them. They also share similar elements in which people are trying to exploit the characters for personal idealism and gain. If you enjoyed one, there is a good chance you would enjoy the other.
