This series bumps up the ecchi-type fanservice from the previous series. The mecha designs are all strong, and many new mechas are introduced. The fanservice is pandering and annoying, and it is basically used to fill up the twelve episodes, as the actual storyline in this series could be expressed in 2-3 episodes of quality work. Boring if you try to make sense of the plot and character motivations, but somewhat interesting if you fastforward to the robot fights, which are heavy on animation recycling. The villain in this series is boring and one-dimensional, not a first for mecha anime.

If Your Thought Gravion Zwei Was Good with the meka's combination and a bit of a story line wait until you watch Aquarion. Like Gravion Zwei, Aquarion Meka's are based on combination, however Aquarion Has A Bit More Of A Story Line Behind It and naturally set up differently ^_^
The sequel to Gravion, it features the same characters as the original as well as a brand new main character.
