Protagonist of both Shelter and Interlude lives in a simulated world while humanity extinct. At the end of both Shelter and Interlude the real nature of protagonist's surrounding becomes clear.

A harem like anime where the male lead goes back and forth between parallel worlds.

Both has resetting timelines at some point of the story Both have a focus on a romantic subplot Both have friends and loved ones being tortured in front of the protagonist. Both have a character who brings the MC into the world. The themes both share I feel that Interlude does better and has a more poignant conclusion.

Both these are OVA from the 2000s which I feel have a great fantasy story. They follow a similar type of progression and I enjoyed both of them. I personally think Interlude is a better story overall, but both are great shows that try to answer philosophical questions about life and eternity. If you liked one, I would put my money on you liking the other.

If you enjoy a slightly more twisted view in anime, then these two shows are a must-see. The audio, strange camera angles and conplex storyline all add up to two very enjoyable shows that will make your brain work overtime. These shows will not appeal to the Naruto generation, but to people who instead appreciate story telling with a sprinkling of fantasy.

Shifting realities, trying to save someone you care about . . . Interlude is a 3 ep ova. Too bad because it could have been something quite good given time to evolve. As roriconfan said in his review of Interlude, it was original in its day but has been eclipsed by better titles. Still, if you are hungry for this type of theme, it is an o.k. watch.

Interlude and SSY are pretty close on main theme, but SSY makes more sense and much better overall.

While in A wind name Amnesia is shown how world faced its "Death" in Interlude u already see it destroyed - in the end at least. Is a very interesting anime whose characters are trapped between two worlds trying to understand which one is real. Can't say there are a lot of similarities between this two, but I strongly believe that those who enjoyed Kaze no Na wa Amnesia, will enjoy Interlude as well.

They're similar in their post apocalyptical settings, and their way of kind of salvaging the human race; although zegapain has a much more drawn out story line but both equally entertaining. However, zegapain also has a better transition than interlude does in terms of realizing what is actually happen.

Similar Horror/Mystery style with a small harem and yandere (although in interlude its sister love-crazy). The biggest difference is that Interlude dives into the paranormal side of things with zombies and ghostly demon dogs, while Denpa Teki merely touches on a fictional delusion of aliens. Overall, Denpa Teki was better (as of ep# 1 so far), but both are very enjoyable
