Just very relaxing. It is fantasy + slice of life.
I love the main character's chill vibe. Like hanging out with her would be relaxing.
I feel bad for bringing down it's ranking by just giving it a 7 when it's currently the highest rated anime of all.
I don't think there's anything mind blowing about it. It just feels good to watch.
I'm looking forward to the next season assuming there is one.
The funny thing to me is that there does not seem to be much in this journey for Fern and Stark. It seems to me that they just don't have anywhere else

Here's the thing. Just because there's some bad parts (even some i had to skip) doesn't mean we can't enjoy the parts that are good.
I knew this would be a very memorable anime early on. The author has guts. They do things other authors would be too scared to do. Some of it even I can't defend. If this was live action it would be in violation of child porn laws. I mean they sometimes use children as sexual eye candy.
