I knew this would be a very memorable anime early on. The author has guts. They do things other authors would be too scared to do. Some of it even I can't defend.
If this was live action it would be in violation of child porn laws. I mean they sometimes use children as sexual eye candy.
There's a few disturbing scenes but most of the sexual stuff is just hilarious. If you enjoyed the perverted humor of naruto and dragon ball then you'll laugh at this even more since they take the perversion to the next level.
Also, just an all around solid show in every other regard.
Some of the characters are flawed in disturbing ways. That is a great thing because it makes them interesting and different from what i've seen in other shows. Like one of the characters does something morally terrible. The main character was a total loser. You don't see this often because most people don't want to empathize with someone that did something morally terrible or was a loser. So making these characters took guts by the author.
But I have to warn you it's not just that some of the characters are morally repugnant. They get away with it as if the author is sending a message that their behavior is acceptable. You just have to accept that this anime is not a place to get your moral values from.
The action is fast, snappy and badass. I've watched enough action in my life that i'm bored of drawn out fights.
Much of it is slice of life and that's good because I was looking for something relaxing. It's an escapist anime. Lots of fun times.
I had to skip some parts because I really dislike Sylphiette. She's a Dandere. I don't like her shy personality. Her awkwardness at the end of season 2 is just unbearable.
Got some good elements of Frieren, dragonball, sword art online.
At first I rated it 8/10 (very good). Then I saw this emotional episode "E17 - My Older Brother's Feelings" and I upgraded my rating to 10/10 (masterpiece).
