I will try to be brief because Lupin III is a simple yet effective manga. The story follows the world's greatest thief, Arsène Lupin III. He is the grandson of the notorious thief, Arsène Lupin, who was a character created by French author, Maurice Leblanc in the early 20th century. The Lupin III manga is episodic. Each chapter is it's own story and it usually depicts Lupin and "friends" trying to steal various items whether it be fancy jewels or other expensive items he wishes to chase after simply for the thrill of it.

is joined by an array of characters such as Jigen (gunman), Goemon (Samurai), Fujiko (criminal and love interest) and Inspector Zenigata. Keep in mind, some characters are introduced later in the manga. Lupin is technically your main protagonist but he's not really a hero. In the anime shows/films, he is often portrayed as a eccentric hero despite the fact he's a criminal. He tends to help people more (mainly females) as well as going head to head with villains who are more devious than himself which inherently places him in the hero role. In the manga, Lupin cares only for his target. Later on you see some depth to his character where he shows his more human side, but you mainly see his dark side early on.
Lupin is a cold blooded criminal who will kill and rape whoever he pleases just because it's what he enjoys doing. Whether or not the characters he's hurting are innocent is irrelevant to him which is why the manga is so fascinating. Normally you would hate a character like Lupin but here you don't, and the brilliance of that goes to Monkey Punch who is responsible for this manga. Despite everything I said, Lupin III is a comedy through and through. Everything has humor to it even if the situation is dire. The characters are rather quippy and use a lot of word play. Characters always have a funny retort to everything and the exaggerated cartoony Mad-esque facial expressions really enhance the comedy in these scenes.
The whole look of the manga is presented in a very Western fashion. Monkey Punch considered Mad Magazine a huge influence and it shows in his manga. Characters are weirdly proportioned and have oddly shaped heads with often cartoon-like expressions which I mentioned earlier. It's very refreshing to look at considering the large amount of artists who more often have a very samey art style and it shows in many popular manga.
In conclusion, the manga is incredible. It's my favorite version of Lupin III and I've been following the series for almost 20 years. I can't recommend it enough especially if you enjoy black comedies. If you're someone who enjoys the more family friendly Cagliostro/Miyazaki type of Lupin stories, don't read this. It's irreverent and not something younger fans should check out. This ain't your grandma's Lupin...Well technically it is your grandma's Lupin..If you're grandma was a bad bitch with a shotgun in one hand and a cigar in the other. 10/10 manga. It's hysterically funny and easy to pick up and read. Check it out if you truly like Lupin or someone who enjoys caper stories.

Lupin III: Part III is without question the least talked about out of all the Lupin III series. If I had to guess why that is, I assume it would be because of it's choice of style for one. It has more of a cartoony feel and makes some questionable changes to the looks of the characters. These changes vary throughout the course of the 50 episode anime. It can take some time to get use to if you're familiar with the previous series which in itself was pretty different from the original series. Part III to me resembles the art in the manga.

Monkey Punch (creator) was influenced by a few artists who worked on Mad magazine which is fairly obvious if you have read the manga. I could go into more detail about that but I'm going give you some basic knowledge and also tell you why the show is a blast.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you about the characters because this is the third series and it's only common sense to assume that the person reading this has already checked out part I and II. Just like the previous series, there is no long term narrative. Each episode is it's own story. There is nothing to really invest in except for the fun adventures the characters go on for 24 minutes. It's quite similar to part II in terms of the kinds of stories they tell. Silly, weird, humorous, and usually lighthearted just to name a few. It's always enjoyable to see what ridiculous item Lupin plans to steal that episode. The episodes themselves are much more exaggerated and abstract due to the cartoony style they're going for. Yuji Ohno returns to compose the music. Instead of it being jazzy, It feels more funky to me which I guess is to go along with the "80's" look. It still sounds incredible nevertheless if that's the kind of music you enjoy.
There's not a whole lot to say about this series that a person who's already watched Lupin already knows. If you enjoy adventure comedies or shows that are character driven, then watch this. It has the greatest group of characters in all of anime. It's the kind of show you can relax and turn your brain off for an hour or two. It's pretty fast paced and at times witty. I'd say it's pretty refreshing to watch after viewing some of the red jacket films. Give it a try.

I was not originally going to make a review of this but after reading a certain other review, I felt I needed to do it. This is going to be a little more open-minded and fair.
There doesn't seem to be any definitive plot or narrative. It's basically animals wrestling each other. The art was perfectly fine and the animation was actually quite good for 1934.. At least for a Japanese animation. We don't even know if it was done by a studio or just one person. If it was done by one person, consider me impressed.
There was no sound. It's a cheaply made anime short from 1934.
The characters were mostly animals. I remember seeing deer, rabbits, monkeys, and bears. There was also an overweight man and a lumberjack. The characters didn't have a whole lot of personality or time focused on them due to the anime only being seven minutes long.
I enjoyed the anime overall. I'm a sucker for the classics and anything that paved the way for the things that came after. It's pretty important and all should appreciate these early examples of Japanese animation.
Overall 6/10.
I don't see how anyone could logically give it lower than a 5. It's not bad and I think the people who think this way are most likely between the ages of 8 & 17. They feel anything that's older than the year 20XX is automatically bad without taking into consideration it's importance and what it meant at the time it came out.
Also shame on you if you're actually reading this long ass review for a seven minute long anime from 1934. There really isn't much to say about it for you to be this curious. Everything you need to know is in the anime which you could have finished by now.

This anime music video is a flat out masterpiece. I don't even know where to begin so I guess i'll just start off with the basics.
Story: 11/10
The story follows a mosquito who is also Dracula that goes on a long emotional journey to save himself from starvation. He must drink blood to stay alive. Despite being an underdog and having to deal with many troubles along the way, he manages to stay optimistic. I won't give away the rest. You'll just have to watch it for yourself.

have been the first person to ever create an animated short but due to lack of technology he kept this hidden away for centuries until it was discovered in the 1970's or some shit, and then music was added. The art makes Miyazaki and Disney films look like amateur hour. The amount of detail that went into this is astonishing. You would swear the animators had at least 24 fingers on each hand going by the precise fluid movements of the characters. The colors were so lush and eye-popping, it made me want to become a human rainbow. The character designs were so beautiful, I thought I had fallen in love with these drawings as if they were real people.
Sound: 11/10
The music makes Yuji Ohno and Joe Hisaishi look like Nickelback.
It makes Mozart and Beethoven look like Justin Bieber.
It makes The Beatles and The Rolling Stones look like One Direction.
It makes Tupac and Biggie look like Ice JJ Fish.
The music in this animated music video will send you to the highest plane of consciousness. You will enter music nirvana where you'll hear beautiful sounds you thought could never exist. You would swear the singer was God himself hitting notes that are humanly impossible. I myself cannot imagine listening to anything else ever again.
Characters:
Mosquito Dracula is easily the most compelling anime character of all time. He's not your typical boring main character you come to expect with most anime nowadays. He is an overly charismatic and charming insect. He's always fighting for what he believes in and is always willing to help other insects despite being Dracula himself. He'll only suck the blood of evil humans, and even manages to save some blood to give to those in need. He's like Robin Hood if Robin Hood wasn't a fag who wore green tights, and was also a mosquito. I'm sure some overly sensitive people might see that sentence as homophobic but lucky for me, only cool people gay or not watch Dracula no Uta and will read this review.
Enjoyment: 12/10
This anime music video is a true "masterpiece" and I will continue to say that until people stop throwing that word around to every generic shitty anime that are clearly nothing more than a 6/10, or a -200/10 compared to Dracula no Uta. This anime will not only make you laugh until your gut bursts, but it will also make you an emotional wreck. It is the perfect blend of comedy, drama, suspense, mystery, horror, romance, sci-fi, action, adventure, and hentai. You'll become a better person after watching this. I honestly cannot recommend this enough.
Overall: ∞/10
Watch this immediately.

If you're a fan of Mazinger Z, you may really enjoy this. I tend to be more of a fan of Devilman and was disappointed by the fact that this felt more like a Mazinger Z special with Devilman as the special guest.
I'll try to explain why it really bothered me but it may reveal some spoilers so be aware. (though why you're reading a review of this and haven't already seen it is beyond me). For one Devilman has to be saved by Mazinger Z at least twice whereas it's never the other way around. The devilman villains are pretty much controlled by

Dr. Hell (The Mazinger Z villain). You are surrounded by Mazinger Z characters but you only get a quick cameo from 2 Devilman characters. The final battle is a fight between Mazinger Z and the main villain. Even the END credits mostly feature Mazinger Z with Mazinger Z music.
Overall this was a very one sided special that did no justice for Devilman, but did plenty for Mazinger Z. The only real positives I can say about it was the beautiful art and animation which is much better than Devilman and Mazinger Z series.
If you love Mazinger Z. Watch it
If you love Devilman. You may be disappointed.
If you love both. You may find some enjoyment.
