Well, these two series here can be described as addictive fun that is wildly entertaining in that bizarre way. Both series has a strange girl who has strange behavior with a particular fascination on the supernatural. Both series has a strange cast of characters as well that mixes in drama, comedy, and randomness at times. The male protagonists in the series are probably the only sane characters. They aim for a normal school but finds it difficult after the appearance of the said strange girl.

Both protagonists are aiming for a normal High School life after entering High School, but happen to meet strange school mates. In both series it's a girl claiming to have supernatural powers or to be an alien who influences the boy's school life.

Both animes have the main character as a boy working towards leading a normal life, a delusional cute girl who believes she has powers beyond humans, a party of other girls to add to the mix, AND EVEN an attractive parent-figure to the cute girl. As the stories develop, it is evident that despite not having the best relationship at the start, they begin to ease up to one another. While SHAFT focuses more on character speech and development, as well as their own unique animation style, KyoAni focuses more on visually enticing the audience.

Both of the female protagonists somehow have the same condition wherein they mix-up illusions with reality. Also, both of the mail protagonists had the same aim; to return these females back to reality.

Both have a protagonist girl that believes in supernatural things who believe not to be humans. Both heroes try to make the girls realize they are humans. Both also have "cute" art styles.

-Both have tsukkomi male MCs surrounded by fairly silly characters. -Both have female MCs with delusions. (Chuu2 syndrome/Aliens). -Both have romance, though it is not as apparent in Denpa Onna. -Both are completed light novel series.

The MC meets a strange girl that believes in something that he doesn't believe in. He ends up learning something important by being with her, and there is some romance along the way. Also, they are both similar in terms of style and comedy.

- Both MC-kun's have to take care of a annoying..delusional...weird girls...while trying to keep normal life at the same time... - Both MC-kun's are the only sane people (realists) [ there is a lot of crazy people around them ] - MC-chan's believe that they have some sort of 'special 'power' [lot's of cringe moments are waiting for you ] - Both have romance moments in them, but it was destroyed by our delusional MC-chan's.... - Both are cringe/slow as snail/ weird dialogue driven shows... - Watch them if you have lots of free time [ like myself :/ ] & probably you gonna like the other...

Looking to get out of reality, creating for itself an illusion. Chuunibyo and Denpa Onna, show us as the protagonist, a girl who locks himself in fantasies, whether aliens or magic, just come and believe what in your life have formed. But everything can change when a guy comes to understand why their of illusion and try that with your help, can be someone in society. Two Series, Spilling comic moments, but in turn romantic moments.

Both revolve around a girl whose somewhat hopeless on her own. They both meat a male MC and learn to become (somewhat) normal members of society as the guy takes care of them. Both feature romance as a theme.

A teenage boy goes to a new school and meets a bunch of weird people, among them a cute, but socially inept girl, who claims to be a supernatural being. Although the main character is skeptical about this, he participates in "discovering" various supernatural phenomena, even though nothing extraordinary actually occurs. Also, both shows have a beautiful animation.
