Actually, I was there in Japan that time and watched it in the theatre [I don't remember the name of] plus I think it's out already, in the not-dubbed format. I can understand [not completely] Japanese and a person [to whom we went, he was also interested in the film and watched with us] helped me when we got out where I didn't understand it.

Then I read an interview and opinions on that [exclusively a Japanese portal, had to translate] and that's from where I included a few opinions I've written in the review.

It was one of the very few moments that I loved in my life...

If you're into horror/mystery then you can try Goth and Uzumaki. Both are decent but not quite as scary as Ibitsu imo.

No problem, glad you enjoyed it :D. And yea it was a great horror manga. Ending was really twisted too. But this is one of those cases where a messed up ending actually fits the title, if you know what I mean :P

Well I only lasted till the 4th episode I think, so maybe they did pick things up later. But as far as I know, using the first episode as an example, showing that there were gears and hearing Kaito going on about some being dummies, but not seeing how they were arranged, is not equivalent to showing how puzzles were solved. It simply says that he was trying to solve them. Which is why I likened it to watching a chess game without seeing the chess board. I know they're playing chess, but have no idea how each side is playing their pieces.

But I do realise that I'm rather harsh with that review, so I expect some disagreements.
