Hey, sorry I'm so late. I think it was great to watch as the time, as I was in lockdown and it was a reason for me to do my school work/coursework etc haha. I was really excited for every episode too. I was definitely team Satoko in Gou, but team Rika in Sotsu. As for the actual anime of Gou itself, I understand why people were disappointed and that it was really bad for the usual higurashi and didn't really fit. I agree with that, because I don't really take it seriously as a 'main part' of the higurashi series. Also, I haven't read or watched the Higu/Umi VNs yet, but I will soon. I think it would have been disappointing for Umineko fans and I know my friends who are Umi fans were really unimpressed... But it seemed like we were all still excited to watch Gou every week anyway lol. As for Sotsu, I got bored quite quickly and didn't watch it every week. I just waited for Sotsu to near its end and I finished the 2nd half of it by the time it was done. I hate Eua lol. Also Mion is always best girl <3
