We offer plenty of anime/manga discussion and tons of general discussions as well. First of all, I can't understand why people are so surprised that the main antagonist were aliens. Like Tieria didn't say that CB main goal was to unite the world FOR THE UPCOMING DIALOG, so with who else should humankind speak if not whit aliens, not to mention thh last minutes of second season(4 lights flying from Jupiter ) and the whole "humanity childhood has ended". To me aliens were so obvious the moment is finished the TV series. The main problem was that all suggested an invasion, and that Aeolia goal was to unite humans so the could fight as one. At one point I even thought that Aeolia meet whit the aliens personally, and that the GN drivers were of alien design(since the could be only build on Jupiter) and that the whole thing was a test preformed by some advance race to see if humankind could unite.
Instead we got a bunch of hive mind(a concept totally original and not used almost always when portraying aliens) polygons, I mean WTF ? A bunch of polygons !? I know that aliens will most likely not resemble little green man but i would prefer something that would look even a little like a freaking life form rather than some spontaneously appearing crystals. The second biggest downer when it comes to ELC or what the hell was their name is their motive. What exactly did the seek from humans ? If they home planet was destroyed and they wanted to invade earth, why didn't they do so, than again if they home is destroyed what's the point of Mary Sue(AKA Setsuna Faggot Seien) to go there. All the aliens did was emerge from Jupiter go to earth, have a clash with humans, make a big gay flower as sign of peace and then disappear.
This where the major plot holes, the minor annoying one were: no real screen time for the main characters(id rather see the crew of CB talking than shooting at silver polygons), and the deus ex machina instead of a real ending, and yes a real ending would include an explanation of the aliens motives and showing what happened tho the main characters.
When I watched this movie it didn't felt like watching Gundam 00, it felt like watching something else, a weird SF movie full of pseudo philosophies, that failed hard at making sens, and a major plot hole.
