Time traveling is all fun and games until someone gets hurt, in these show cases, a lot of hurt. Both deal with the time travel paradox and have bittersweet conclusions where characters have to face reality vs the paradise ideal.

Tokyo Ghoul

Two species "coexisting" together in society. ghouls + humans vs contractors + humans, where in both humans fear the other. Main protagonist faces conflicts in both factions, neither one going deeper into the coexisting concept and both stories are kept vague

Prison School
add

Hate to put it like this, but there is an overlying theme of friendship in both and similarly both slew of characters are in prisons. Where rainbow has a very compelling story and explicit + mature content, prison school is explicit in its own right and takes the comedic tropefilled route. Complete opposite of the spectrum in that regard.

Both main protagonists go away from home to attend school. Similarly, both have themes of cooking to it, while food wars is centered towards information of food, silver spoon is about the process before the food with a touch of school life added to it.

Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri

Gate is kinda the vice versa version of devil is a part timer, where humans go into a new world and adapt, devil is a part timer being the supernatural beings in the human world. Both show's have similar interactions between the two groups and both shows deal with an overlying theme of bonding.

Conflict of the show involves keeping the secret the females have. Similar cookie cutter characters, will they/will they not type of show. both shows are comedic heavy, similar tropes; makes for decent popcorn flick on a hard day of work

Gin no Saji 2nd Season
add

Both shows involve the main protagonist leaving their homes due to certain circumstances and both find a way to make ends meet, adjusting to life at that environment. Both MC's learn more about who they really are and make "life" decisions based off their experiences at their respective locations.
