LOL - I adore your mini-Comment review for Stein's Gate! I', about to finally watch it, so you will likely see something similar from me soon! ^_^

Agreed. It's one of my favourites as well! I've been very satisfied with Yuasa Masaaki other directorial works (Mind Games, Genius Party, Kaiba, Kemonozume) if you like that genre.

Have you seen the creator's other work: Uchouten Kazoku? Or as I like to call it "the Japanese Royal Tenenbaums". Lots of fun!

Did I mention that I love your Akashi avatar?

I hadn't thought of it that way, but perhaps that is why I enjoy Mushishi more than Kino no Tabi... On the subject of a story where "a traveler goes around fixing people's problems", I think "The Little Prince" is exactly that kind of story! Without necessarily meaning too, he tends to fix things and builds relationships with those he meets.

I noticed that you've read YKK (Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou) - have you seen the anime adaptation? I think that is an interesting example of a (mostly) stationary character who acts a bit like a traveling one. Interestingly, I think Kokone serves in a similar role of the "traveler" in her services as a friend and delivery girl.

Please write more reviews! I'd like to be friends with you and have conversations about our similar taste, but I only have a few anime to start with and while Aru Tabibito no Nikki is one of the best anime I've ever seen, having a discussion about it is a bit like discussing "The Little Prince", ne? ^_^

But on the subject of travelers, Tortov Roddle, Kino (from Kino no Tabi), and the Little Prince all have that similar removed feeling. Do you think that is a necessity for a traveler or do you find one can be involved with those they come into contact with?

Hey there, I love your Tortov Roddle review. It's nice to find someone else who adores it as I do.
