My Instructor Won't Yield
Synopsis
Chiba's kind manner, clear guidance, and pretty face make him easily the favorite driving instructor of every female student at the school where he works. But, while he'll play up his charms to get good reviews, Chiba is diligent about politely but firmly rejecting all romantic advances. Yet his well-crafted persona will be put to the test when he's matched up with the mysterious Yaotome, a new student gaining a reputation of his own as the “Sharp-Suited Prince,” because he comes to every driving lesson way overdressed. Despite his cool looks and demeanor, Yaotome can hardly compose himself when Chiba begins their lesson. An after-hours encounter reveals that Yaotome is actually a manga artist…and that's not his only secret!

This really had a cute premise to lead with. A 30-year old student driver falling in love with his instructor -- with some serious gap moe. I love me some gap moe, but boy was this and the entire plot so underwhelming. A lot of plot points to get from A to B were so contrived, lmao.
Most notably, spoilers I guess, that trip to Hokkaido that was dropped out of nowhere. Where we could've brew the angst a bit as Chiba had the right to feel freaked out, the author decided to let it go without a second though. Perhaps, the author has limited amount read more

Heads up about the "Mixed feelings" rating: i DID enjoy this manga a lot! But by the description of MAL's rec rating, "mixed feelings" made the most sense.
As a big fan of another of Kingyobachi Deme's stories, finding out they also did BL was a nice surprise! I also thought the driving school plot was something unique, so i really wanted to read it.
The story is simple and without much conflict. I was actually grateful for this, since the vast majority of BL has a lot of misunderstandings and extended drama, so reading something calmer felt like a good chance of pace.
The art is very read more
