I discovered this anime when i was just searching stuff. I saw the name Cardcaptors and decided to see what it was all about. To cut things short, after the first episode i was hooked.
STORY:10
Like most shoujo anime, it starts off with the basic deceased parent, sweet clutzy girl and the whole hidden power thing. However Cardcaptor Sakura turned out to be something special. In my opinion, CLAMP did yet another excellent mahou shoujo anime, with a brilliant plot.
ART:10
I like to rate the art by the year it was made. CCS made in 96' had brilliant art for it`s time. Sakura looks so cute!! And so does Tomoyo as well. Without such nice art, the anime would`nt be the same.
SOUND:10
I`m rating the sound of off the sub. Cardcaptor Sakura has such an amazing sub, and it fits each and every character perfectly. I want to make a note on the soundtrack for the japanese sub. Platinum Fall, is now one of my fave songs, as well as Catch You Catch Me., and i ws quite dissapointed to find that the english dub didnt have the same openings and closings. So, if you ever watch CCS in dub, please check out the soundtrack for the sub.
