Preliminary (10/13 eps)
Baka to Test is a disappointment. This is because if you watch the first episode, you will find it to be absolutely hilarious. However, it does not take long before the enjoyment runs thin. All of the characters are flat anime stereotypes, with the possible exception of the protagonist and his bestfriend. The protagonist himself is the idiot stereotype taken to the extreme, which is different, but the show focuses on it so much that it is to the detriment to his character, so I don't remember his name. The main character has three gags that are constantly told about him: he is an idiot, he is poor and he doesn't know that the two leading ladies have a huge crush on him. Don't be upset at that last one, you know from the very first episode that both girls like him. The show reuses these three gags, and many others, to the point of nausea.

In the end, Baka to Test is basically the Taco Bell of anime. It reuses the same five ingredients over and over again. If you like your anime dumb with as little thought put into them as possible, then I highly suggest you watch Baka to Test. However, you can do better. Nichijou, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou and Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai are all better anime that will give you more laughs.
