After watching Kotoura-san I can say that it is one of my favorites anime. When watching this show I honestly felt real good about the show and wanted to watch more. I found the characters were well done and we can see their development throughout the show, the art was also consistent. The show only had those dark moments for a bit and the rest was the group interacting and changing. The humor was funny and you really grew to care for the characters. Kotoura-san is a fun and enjoyable anime by the end of the show you feel that all plot points have been covered and that it was a fun. The running gag between Kotoura-san and and Manabe is his perverted fantasies and I enjoyed them because we now see Kotoura-san opening up again. I find that Kotoura-san is not supposed to be taken seriously it is a feel good anime where we see a sad girls' life change for the better. This review may be biased in the case of me being a softy for these things, but I liked the show and I recommend you watch it if you thought the show sounds interesting.
