Mixed Feelings
Chrome Shelled Regios is one of those animes where it isn't rated low because of what was bad about it, its rated low because of what wasn't good about it. In nearly all categories Chrome Shelled Regios is what I would call a mediocre anime.

Quick Pros and Cons
Pros:
Decent back story to main character
The setting and idea of the story was pretty cool even if it wasn't executed very well.
It was good enough that I actually finished it and didn't completely drop it lol.

Cons:
The action in the anime is scarce and what it is seen its okay at best.
The characters are either unlikeable or feel as though they have no personality to them what so ever.
The animation is meh (best way I can describe it)
The last battle of the anime is the simply put a disappointment.
There were so many opportunities to capitalize that could have made for good scenes that just didn't happen.
Weird English talking parts that make no sense at all to the story.

Now on the actual review.
Chrome Shelled Regios follows Layfon, a high school age student who has just arrived at a new Regios to start his new life. The setting of the anime is pretty interesting, it is a post apocalyptic world where all of the outside world is polluted to the point of being uninhabitable and the surviving people live in moving cities called Regios'. Layfon used to be a Heavens blade, one of the 12 strongest warriors in the entire world, but he is kicked out and decides to start anew.

Now this is where things start to go wrong for Chrome Shelled Regios. Firstly the story is extremely disjointed, you don't even know the main plot of the story until half way through the anime, and after that it's still bad. There are parts in the story that COULD HAVE been good but were just executed horribly, like when Nina, Layfon's platoon leader finds out Layfon is a former Heavens blade, her reaction is so plain I'm almost positive a brick could've showed more emotion then her. Then possibly the worst part of the entire anime, is that throughout the show there are clips of what seems like a different show but when you're watching it you're not really sure but the people are talking English but you understand them even less because it's like some computer 100000mph type talking that has absolutely nothing to do with the show. Hard to understand I know but that literally takes up like 5 minutes of every episode and then at the end they try to tie it all together to make sense but It's just done horribly. You have to watch the show to understand, but I wouldn't recommend it. The final fight is also a joke, not going to spoil anything but its literally a One hit K.O. final fight, yes, can't get anymore lame then that.

This is one of those shows where I would watch it if there was literally nothing left to do and nothing else to possible watch but I wouldn't recommend to anyone, just pass up on this one.
