I just finished Sword Art Online and only have two words to describe it...
Holy. Shit.
I thoroughly enjoyed the concept of a show based in the setting of a Virtual MMORPG. I can definitely relate to many of the aspects in the show, with me being a past MMO player myself. The friendships, the training, the boss hunts, aspects any previous MMO player can relate to.

The thing that this show falls back in is the transitioning of the story itself, as many of the episodes had no connection to the previous one.
They could have definitely made this series a lot longer, which would be a lot better imo. They skipped many parts, which was the only thing I disliked of this show.

The first part of SAO (Episodes 1-14) was very rushed, but still found it enjoyable.
Then comes the second part of SAO (Episodes 15-25), which i'm sure confused many viewers. So much information was thrown into our faces in such a short amount of time leaving very little information for us to catch up to. But once it started picking up, with Kirito joining the new world in search of Asuna, the story finally started connecting with one another.
I partially disliked the second part of SAO, mainly because of the antagonist of the story, Surugou (who was introduced in episode 16 or so). He was such a perverted, sick and twisted character, being some sort of paedophile rapist necrophiliac. I was happy with the way he ended. Although i'd wish the producers didn't make him so disgusting..

Overall, great show, could've been made a lot better than it was imo.
