Watching this anime the first time might not make you appreciate it for what it's worth. You might get hooked up with the songs which also happened to me and be fascinated with the characters. Although of course what is really worthwhile is the story, if you liked the vague story the first time you'll love it the second time.
In a time when all of man kind is supported is supported by artificial things. And no one has seen what real nature is like man, the life expectancy of an average person has decreased to the mere 50s and if not for artificial health support a person does not have chance of reaching their 30s. Two twins, children of esteemed scientist favored by the prime minister found their home invaded and their parents massacred. Confused they were forcibly thrust to an unknown planet by the people they thought they could trust. Now they struggle to survive in a world where plants dominate everything.
