Hey people! Here's my second review. This time I picked something very easy to review and see how it goes from now on. Anime in question is Lucky☆Star, a slapstick comedy presenting the lives of a few completely normal high school girls. Well, not that normal, but let's see further.

Lucky☆Star is one of those light-hearted anime that give you less than what you would call a story and more than what you would call laughing stocks. it's a baseless comedy that only comes to us once in a year. An anime one of a kind, with interesting characters to say the least.

Story - 6

Protagonist Konata Izumi enjoying otaku life to the fullest and teasing the -bleep- out of everyone. This is the story of Lucky☆Star, with a few good pointers here and there. Honestly though, even if you decide to watch the anime starting from episode 1-5 so that all characters are introduced and then decide to watch all other episodes backwards then you will have noticed no difference. Skipping episodes like no problem ftw! (although I wouldn't suggest doing so)

Art - 8

Characters really representing the light mood of the anime, being basically full lolis in high school with some pretty fun expressions that make you laugh out so loud that the neighbouring town can hear you. Backgrounds are nothing amazing, just what needs to be there to make the scenes feel good.

Sound - 9

The voice acting is what deserves extreme praise here. Much variety on the voices of the characters shows the uniqueness of each one giving some form of completeness there as well. Big props to Kona-chan's seiyuu, Fukuhara Kaori, acting the voice I love so freakin much! Opening theme, "Motteke! Sailor Fuku" sung by the 4 seiyuu of the main characters is pretty catchy and definitely suits the mood. Although it gets a bit boring after 15 or so episodes so I skipped it from there on. Now comes another surprising feat that not many anime have achieved so far. Lucky☆Star has 24 ending themes. Yes you read right, twenty-four, writing that in letters as well so that I'm perfectly clear. To be honest, I haven't listened to all of them so I can't judge whether they are good, fitting, bad or whatever else you may think of. But only the variety that this brought made the anime all the more enjoyable.

Character - 9

Let's admit it, Lucky☆Star has a crapton of characters, whilst not making them the same not even a bit. Character versatility is not so key in slapstick, but it feels nice to have.

Konata Izumi - The main character of the series and definitely the funniest one out of them all. She is a hardcore otaku, raised by her father alone (a lolicon at that) who taught her all the things about being one. She has a brilliant mind which she uses to excel at games and thinking about and discussing anime. She loves playing the oh so popular in Japan MMORPG games, but also likes console gaming. Of course, you are not a proper otaku if you don't go to a manga store at least twice per week and watching anime every day, and gaming all night. She has a tendency to pick on everyone and throw out jokes every minute. She especially likes to pick on Hiiragi Kagami, despite being in different classes. Having said all that, Konata is easily one HUGE troll.

Hiiragi Kagami - The tsundere of the series, she is my favorite character because, well, she is a tsundere. The only one out of a company of 4 who is in a different class. My guess is she feels left out so that must be the reason why she is in Konata's classroom every single break of every single day. She has a twin, who is a few seconds younger, so that makes Kagami feel like an older sister, so she is responsible. In contrast to Konata's immature nature, she is very mature, studying hard and always telling Konata to do so as well, although Konata is ignoring her or teasing her as an answer. Like all characters in this anime, she has her solo moments but she makes the best moments in combination with Konata, with the latter mainly teasing her.

Hiiragi Tsukasa - Enter airhead #1, Tsukasa Hiiragi. She is the younger twin of the two, the other one being Kagami of course, and she definitely acts like it. Her character has no special traits other than the fact that she gets overexcited and worked up easily, and she is trying her best to match her sister, failing miserably at that. Being an airhead, she is a great target for Konata to make fun of and the two have great moments of fun, with Konata having the most of it.

Takara Miyuki - Airhead #2 and school prodigy, Miwiki-chan! Her nickname is Miwiki because whenever she gets asked something by Konata, she always has the right answer/advice to give. She is very intelligent, hard working and the only one with actual cleavage in the whole anime. Fact is, she gets distracted really easily by small things and can't see in front of her nose without her glasses. Since she has a very large vocabulary she serves for making good puns and great admiration material for Konata. She is the one who gets teased the least out of the 4 but when she does get teased, she gets teased hard, which brings balance to the teasing levels Konata wants to have.

Enjoyment - 10

In all honesty, this is one of the anime that will make your stomach hurt from laughing from all the jokes being thrown at you. Personally, I can't count the times I just bursted out laughing from a random joke that was thrown at a completely random place and time. I can't remember the last time I've laughed so much watching anime. The parody level is over 9000, so many refferences that you need an encyclopedia to actually understand every single one. I enjoyed this anime immensly and I have to say I'm not proud to have watched it so late in my anime watching days.

Rewatchability - 10

As with my previous review, rewatchability is added as a bonus factor that is not determinant to the overall score. So, if you wanna laugh at the jokes thrown in your face every 90 seconds, then this is definitely the anime for you. Rewatchability is really viable in this because it contains no spoilers and its basically a joke dumpster where you can laugh repeatedly. The jokes are so many that you are never going to remember every single one so rewatching it has no negative impact in your viewing pleasure whatsoever.

Overall - 9

Loved it. Adored it. Konata is the best. Kagami is boss. I recommend this anime to everyone who has the slightest sense of humour. You will not be disappointed.
