This is probably the first anime that I've been blown away by.
It left be in a state of depression when I finished it because it was over...
So I had to rewatch it over and over again. Then afterwards I couldn't ever be content with an anime again without thinking "Wow... Mirai Nikki was so much better..."
I may be exaggerating, but it's my opinion. This anime was just my perfect cup of tea!

(I'm sorry it's so hard not to give away the story when talking about this anime!)

Story
The story goes to tell you about what happens in this survival game and you get to meet all the people in the game. You get to know everyone pretty well and learn their past history (apart from 1 person, but he wasn't that important). So when you see how everything links together, it becomes a really exciting story.
Also there is a beautiful balance between how much is focused on the main characters and how much is focused on side characters.
It also has a nice balance of serious parts and the little drops of humour so it isn't so heavy on the story.
There are some err ecchi parts, so if you don't deal well with it, I recommend skipping it. It can easily be ignored if you want.
However, it isn't perfect.
There was one episode which had a MASSIVE section of two people having this game of hide and seek in a house. (I mean there was more to it, but it was just a boring chase scene) So I just skipped that part.
Also there were parts in this anime where I felt like it was just SO unneeded and rather pointless.
BUT. Then it helped to build up the next part and so on and so on.
The story is mainly a give and take game.
It provides you with so many thrills and then every now and again you have to give back a little patience and time and then you're rewarded with a thrill!
The ending left me speechless... I think that's all I got to say for that...

Art
Animation was very well done!
It was dynamic and story especially in the fight scenes.
Facial expressions were done really well, and it helped to show the strong emotions!
Designs were done well and I haven't a problem with any of the art.

Sound
Voice acting was really good in my opinion, though every now and again Yuki's voice did annoy me slightly that it sounded slightly too girly, but other than that I haven't a problem with it.
Sound effects were hit and miss. Mainly hit, but some of them sounded a little cheesy and cheap.
The 1st and 2nd opening and the 1st ending are really good in my opinion.
I really love them~! As for the 2nd ending, I wasn't such a fan...

Characters
People may complain that too many of them are psychopaths but I think that's the point of this story.
Personally I really liked them, and there was a nice balance of them all.
I like how I felt I had this love/hate relationship with Yuno, I thought that was really good.
I wished there was more of 10th in the anime though, when he appeared I thought he'd be the weird/funny/scary bad guy, but he didn't get that much in the story to do.
