very good plot. romance does really stand out; even though lots of people criticize it, i believe that it s just depend on each different people tastes. probably only american people hate it; in japan, lots of people prefer gundam seed and destiny over any other gundam. If you like mecha fight and romance, then this is definitely an anime for you. Lots of people criticize that the main character is whiny kid; however, it really matches to real life (iimagine a 15 years old student, suddenly become pilot and has to see all those bloody and lives loss and losing someone they love). mecha fight is awesome as well. Music is really epic when main character appears. it is really hard to add more new events to the plot considering that lots of other gundam already includes about those plots(for example: genius mecha pilot, sacrifice, space fighting over peace, each people have different opinions, romance..) so it is nothing special when you see the repetitive plot.
