Princess Resurrection was the first anime I ever watched! I really liked the manga and so I gave the show a try. I have watched the entire series. I found it to be really fun and enjoyable, however, sometimes I felt there wasn't much of a continuous plot going on.

Story: 7/10
The series follows a teenager called Hiro who becomes a warrior for Princess Hime after she resurrects him with her flame of life. It's now his job to protect her. The plot in the series follows Hime's family's attempts to kill her, and how she, Hiro and their friends, a werewolf called Riza and vampire called Reiri, thwart said plans. I won't go into more than that so as not to spoil it.

One thing I felt was that a lot of the episodes were fillers; I'm not saying this is totally a bad thing as it keeps the series going on for longer. However, it makes the plot a little more sparse in this series. If you like series that have a continuous plotline then you may not enjoy this series, but if you like storiess that just last for the one episode, you'll like this.

Another thing was that the plot was kinda repetitive. Each week an enemy or sibling of Hime would try to kill her. The gang would have to thwart the plan. It got a bit irritating for me, so if you dislike reptitiveness, this isn't for you.
That being said, the overall plotline is interesting, and some of the filler episodes are actually really good. The series has its fair share of mythical creatures, vampires, zombies and mummies appear.

Art: 8/10
One of the things that really drew me to this show was the art style. Simple, yet beautiful. Hime is a beautifully drawn princess, not showy but calm and collected, perfectly fitting her character.

I also really love the poor dejected faces Hiro-kun pulls.

Sound: 6/10
I rate this lowest because I didn't like the opening and ending songs. I think they fitted well with the gothic style of the series but I found the Ali Project's voices too high for my taste. Although, I like some of their other songs.

The other bits of music in the series were again, fitting, but nothing special
Though if you like Goth or Classical, the style of music in this show may well appeal to you!

Character: 8/10
I loved all the main characters in Princess Resurrection.

Hime was well developed. She comes across as hard at times but can be very caring. Sometimes her character can be a little boring, though.
Hiro is funny and stupid. However, he can be very annoying as he's supposed to be Hime's protector and yet she always ends up saving him!
Riza is my favourite. She's so badass and cool. She really breaks away from werewolf stereotypes!
Reiri was a fun character. I loved her arguments with Liza.

Enjoyment: 8/10
This series is a lot of fun and it's not too deep, so it's something you can enjoy with out taking it too seriously. It does have some blood in it but I'm 15 and I wasn't bothered by it (and anything upsetting in a show does have an effect on me)

I think anyone who likes supernatural, monster stories will enjoy this series. The action is really good too. I even watched it with my dad (who has no idea what an anime is) and he loved it! If you like comedy, this was really funny at times!

Overall: 7/10
This show is really fun but it sometimes lacks a continuous plot. I'd watch it if you want something easygoing, but not if you want a really interesting continuous plot!

I hope you enjoyed my review! I tried to keep it short, but I hope my feelings got across. This is my first go, and I wasn't really sure what to say, so if you found this unhelpful, please tell me why, so I can improve! Thanks for reading!
